5 lug rear dana 60?

i currently run:
Front: Dana44 5 lug
rear: Dana60 8 lug

i need to find the cheapest easiest way of making the two match

your not interested in running different lug pattern wheels? that may be the cheapest way on ya.unless ford and chevy 3/4 ton parts inter change..that i dont know.if so swap outter parts and you got 8 lug front.

i see ya point there..id check on getting some aftermarket axles for rear then. again you may run into a brake situation.like i said before i run strange 5 lugs on my dana 60,and wilwood brake set up.check around online for some aluminum adapters for front from 5 lug to 8.they may make those

to get 8 lug on your front axle, you will need to do 1 of 3 things: (best to worst, IMO)

1) everything knuckles out from a 8 lug chevy d44... knuckles, spindles, hubs, rotors, stub shaft, brake caliper & bracket, lockouts... the knuckles are stronger, and easier to get high steer, bigger brakes...

2) 3/4 ton caliper bracket, possibly caliper, hubs, rotors, & lockout (if not the same) from f250... to get high steer, youll need to get knuckles from 77-79 supercab or 76-79 F250... Ive heard the ford knuckles allow bigger u-joints & possibly Longfields, also bigger brakes

3) get 5x5.5 to 8x6.5 wheel spacers/adapters... these only come in 2 piece and will require constant checking, & not recommended for highway driving...

depending on the BS of the wheels, might require some grinding to clear 15" wheels...

adapters may work, i do need a little extra width in the front, but i think as was mentioned before, one of the holes interferes so they have to be a two piece, that sounds expensive and anything in two pieces cant be that strong.

i think im going to try to find a chevy 3/4 ton front and steal some parts off of it.

unless someone wants to donate a snowfighter!
