Beefed up the radiator and provided mounting surfaces with some angle stock. Mounted fans and shroud. Fans are on 2 different temp switches. These are my tig welds, Chris's would look much better!

Stuck the tons under the old leaf springs to truck it over to Mar's Fab. The next time it rolls, it will be all linked up with coilovers.

I just want this one to be a nice driver that I can hammer on a little when I feel like it. Maybe hit some trails at URE but, still be able to wash it up, turn the A/C on and drive it to church on Sunday. I am hoping at age of 45 I can show my new found maturity and not start building it into a beast like I usually do.:shaking:
Man Tom this is going to be awesome and I can't wait to see it in action. Got ask though I guess this statment didn't last huh :p

Thats ok you will have more fun racing with us :) You going to come watch the Auburn race with Snappy?

The tons are temp. mounted up under it. Ready to roll it over to Mars Fab. The 1966 NC Farm Truck tag is off my Grandfather's old Scout. Since 1966 Is the same year as me and the Scout, I thought it might make a good race car number. I modded up a set of Hella HID's and mounted them in the original headlight buckets. They can be adjusted with the stock hardware just like the factory headlights. Got a set of LED flood beams from Snappy that are going to be cut into the original turn signal/park light holes below the grill. Just waiting on the amber lenses from Rigid Ind. Thats about it for now... Got to throw the old Pit Bike back together for the Auburn ECORS race. I had taken it apart to paint it and it is still sitting there... Mocking me.

~~~ Anybody got a decent, affordable, 4 wheeler for sale or trade?:) Let me know! ~~~
Really enjoyed going to the Auburn ECORS race and seeing all the race rigs. Got some good ideas discussed with Snappy and Chris on the way home. Chris and I have a meeting planned for later this week to draw up the suspension and shock layout. Now I just have to sell a kidney and a lung to pay for it.:D
Seen this rig in Summerfield last week.....thought of this thread when i saw it
Got the Scout sitting on rollers. Will be over at Mars Fab soon for the suspension and cage build. Going shopping for the shock package this week. Cant say more than that at the moment. Pit bike is going back together after coming back from the powder coaters. I cant really afford a swanky quad right now, so the little 90 will have to do. I have rode a lot of drag strip pit miles on this little bike. Usually carrying a 5 gallon jug of race fuel balanced on one leg. It was time to show it some love. Making an extended rear trailing arm for it, so it dosent try to pop a wheelie every time you change gears!
