Got a lead on a one owner super cab 4x4, auto, 5.8, 160k miles, no rust, good paint and interior, no mods, well maintained. Repainted about 8 years ago. Two tone blue and white, nice truck. I'm having a hard time believing what people are asking for the 90's fords so am struggling with his $7,500 asking price. What do you guys think is actually reasonable for a truck like this?
Thanks!!

Not $7500

We got 5k for a single cab 96 4x4 XL manual. It was rust free and had a nice interior. Guy came from Ohio and drove it back. These trucks bring the bread it seems. 7500? Probably, especially to someone from a northern state.

Sorry ponykilr, we were posting at the same time. Thanks for the input.
Anybody got any other thoughts?

For me 3500/4000 but I’ve been told I’m still living in the past.Play your cards right and you can get obs psd(if that’s what you want) for that much.

This was the truck, we bought it for my daughter but the 300 was just too thirsty.

Yeah there’s no old trucks in OH that are in good shape.

Damn. I think I actually called you about that truck wanting it bad. The second time I called after getting the money together, you told me someone was coming in to pick it up. I was disappointed lol. That's just how it goes sometimes. I love those style trucks.

If the truck is clean and well maintained and I wanted it I’d probably buy the thing but I have a soft spot for these trucks

Sounds like a nice truck, but a little steep on the price for a small gas engine.

I like the 5.8, had one in my '97 F-250 Heavy Duty Extended Cab LWB....depends on intended use, too.

Mostly just weekend duty, maybe pull a small camper once in a while or a single car trailer someday if I'm lucky.

Thanks for the replies so far. Sounds like it is priced a but high but maybe not crazy high.

I picked up a 93 f250 with a trashed 5.8 . Gonna take all the good stuff out of old unit 10 and build this one the way I want. Yea,I know I'm having to work on it but I'll know what is what and what I did by the time I'm finished. The reason I decided to go this route, this series of truck is everywhere and parts are numerous and fairly cheap. There is a cat up in Denton that has a yard full of these trucks and shucks parts constantly.

"5.8 small gas engine"? It's the 351, as I understand it. I'd rather have It, than any others! 6Cly-no, 302-Small, 400-Sucks Gas! Price is determined on Condition, & Desire. $7500, Is the Asking price. He very well take $6000 Cash! Seems low or acceptable mileage, for the year, Plus it's been Painted. As long as it's a Good job, & Not covering up something. It's probably Also hit it age, like the 90s Chevy's, where it's now collectible & price starting to climb.

That is kind of what I'm thinking. So even if you over pay a little now it's not like you are gonna lose your ass if you keep and enjoy it a couple years. Def not like buying something newer which virtually guarantees a loss in value.
