94' Toyota Build

Well, boredom stuck today. So I went to Tractor Supply & picked up some U-Bolts and a few pieces of steel. Made a mount for my stabilizer to bolt to.
Took it down the road & did a lot better, has a little vibration, but nothing major.

It's not a permanent solution but will work for a few weeks.

The items ready to go:

Time for the fun stuff. Going to be ordering & installing RuffStuff Housings Front & Rear very soon.

Good call on the ruffstuff housing. Just please go wider than stock. Also what steering arms are on your truck never seen a setup like that before?

Stock arms drilled out to fit the heims. Going with a hysteer kit once i get the new housings. & I am most definately going wider than stock. Thinking about going full-width w/ toyota components =)

I would like to say 63-65 would be a good choice. Then can pick and choose your wheels as needed to fine tune the width if need be. If you had the funds I'd say build some 9.5 diffs front and rear with 80 outers up front and ff rear. There is a set for sale that would make a good donor set, plus the birfields are alot stronger in the 80's and no real need to upgrade with <37's.

You won't go wrong with 5.29 gears. I daily drove every SAS Toyota I've ever had so far and they were all on 35's (with the exception of the one I have now) with 5.29's. Drove around town fine, on the highway just fine, and certainly did well on the trails. What springs are you going with front and rear? I remember seeing this truck for sale a while back. I also might have some doors for you here soon if you're still wanting some. They're already black too!

Well the springs I am currently at a loss on right now. I was curious which ones you actually have under your truck? Oh & for axle width on the new RuffStuff housings, I'm going with.......................63-66" (somewhere in there) :D

Just made a pretty big order through a friend of mine at www.ChassisUnlimited.com.

They gave me a great deal on some items I needed, so be sure to check them out!
This is what I ordered & will be here next Thursday:

High Steer Kit
3" Leaf Springs Front & Rear
Knuckle Service Kit w/ Bearings
Chromoly Rear Axles
27 Spline Chromoly Birfield Kit
(4) 1.5" Wheel Spacers
(2) Shift Knobs

In the next week or so I will be ordering 5:29 Gears F&R, spool for the rear, & some 35's.
Doing the build light for now and after a bit of wheeling will be upgrading to the RuffStuff Front & rear housings & 37's.

Not much progress since the last photo's. Installed a new black grill & smoke tail lights.

And I may go MT/R's depending on price.

They might be a little more if I remember correctly but it's worth the extra bit.

Just picked up some 35" Pro Comp All Terrains BRAND NEW for $650 today! They are normally $1100 new. Would have preferred the MTR's or the KM2's but I couldn't pass up the deal on these. Will post pics soon

Got some new goodies in the mail today =)

Also got a few pics with the new tires! (Apologies for the shitty cellphone pics)
Installed new grill, turning signal lights, tires, rear tail lights, & trimmed the fenders in the rear in this pic.

Installed the front wheel spacers yesterday. Might not even use the rear spacers.

Going to start painting it this weekend. Debating on going with a flat desert tan color.

Let me make sure I don't need them, if I don't then you one or the other can have them for $85. They are brand new and haven't even opened the box.

Yeah I bought this truck for the solid axle swap that was already done on it. Which is saving me a lot of money to not have to SAS a truck. It's definately going to grow with me & have a lot of experiences for years to come.

More fender trimming is coming for sure. Just waiting to put the truck in the shop and get the 3" springs on before I do.

14bolt rear/60 front or custom ruffstuff housings front & rear, yes. 37's-39's.

Just doing it light for now so I can get some wheeling in this summer. Will be saving and building the new axles, & ordering anything need while doing so.

gotcha. I don't think I've really got any spare stuff laying around, but if I happen to run across anything out in the garage it's yours if you want it. you've made that truck look completely different than before you got your hands on it. it doesn't even look like the same truck now. keep it up! you gonna try to head out to URE opening weekend?

Thanks man, it definately has come a long way even though sometimes it doesn't feel like it lol.

This truck should have everything done & ready before Uwharrie opens up. So I should for sure be there opening weekend.
Might take it for a test down at Gulches even before than :p
