99 Frontier, mog 9s, doubler, atlas 4spd, 40s, blah blah blah

Dude man I wondered when you were going to use those mogs!Awesome build! So when you wanna bob my yota bed?

Sweet! Can't wait to see that thing all built up and installed!

There is no excuses this thing is not done yet. You need to get to work richard. IM ON A BOAT!!!

Well it's been about 6 months since I've updated this. There isn't much to update. I have sold the nissan drivetrain and atlas in favor of a LS1 or a LQ9. I will still be running a manual transmission and an atlas 4 spd but I'll have to get another one. I finally got my 8 lug hubs machined though, took about 6 months but they're finally done so hopefully I can get the rear suspension set up here before the end of the year.

I've been working on the rear axle a little bit, building a truss. It is made of 2" .250 wall tubing and will be dimpled plate on both sides with .250 tube inbetween, all TIG welded.

I cant see any axle with that nice Toyota in the background! Great work man!

What kind of TIG machine do you have, if you dont mind me asking?

Really nice welds man. Are those brackets and truss single pass, and if so are you leaving them single pass?

just curious, really nice work man, and i'm glad to see an update.

It's a Miller Maxstar 200sd, using a Legacy weldcraft ls1725r(I think that's the part number), it has the thumb control built it. I actually don't like the torch much, I have a CK worldwide 360 torch and I like it much better but I don't have a foot pedal so I have to use scratch start with it. Brackets are two pass, truss is single pass, the truss will have a lot more surface area so I think single pass will be sufficient.

welding

hey theres some undercut in them there welds and some none fusion you need to gouge out and fix . just kidding man you fellow deer employee
