A guy on here owes me money and says I have been paid

Regarding the allegedly-cashed checks, he probably doesn't even need to go to the bank and get them....some banks send you photo copies in your statement, and I'm pretty sure with all banks you can access the photo copies online....so he could easily email you a copy of the signed and cashed checks....IF they exist.

And if they do, then he has legal issue to pursue, but he still owes you your money.

I think the odds of him sending two checks to two different addresses and both of them somehow ending up cashed by the wrong people are pretty low, though.

Poor business man yes, but this isn't about business it is about friends helping friends. The OP was just trying to help the guy and trusted the guy to pay him. I sure there are quite a few of us who would have done the same thing. It sucks when one person tries screwing another on here. I'd be curious to know how long the offender has been a member. I'd be willing to bet he is not a regular and has not been on here long.

That is what we are all here for... I have let people borrow all kinds of stuff on the trails and either was paid for it later, or returned when they got home (mailed back to me)...
Definitely not about the money...

That said, I'd rather trust most people on here, and will continue to do so. Especially the people I know that have been here for years. I don't know about you guys, but I wouldn't be able to show my face around, well, most anywhere if I screwed someone on here.
Good luck and hopefully it was a screw up and the dude will make it right.

I do it all the time. I would have to pay him a visit if he did not pay. I give most everyone a chance until they prove me otherwise.

Well, "the accused" still hasn't logged onto here in almost a week, before this went public. Has anybody heard from him via other means?

Maybe he was in a horrible disfiguring accident.

Ooh, looks like he has a PBB account too, but hasn't logged in since may 11.

Man, Whatever school system he attended is really slacking. Either he can't spell or he is just to lazy to press a few extra keys on the keyboard.

Yes to both.
Left a message before I started this mess, with no repsonse, sent an email and a PM from here.

I have his address, but prefer not to post that since he did not publically post it.

I really believe this is beating a dead horse and now look at this as a warning to others not to do business with him, and now turning into an entertaining thread.

You should post his name in the title, so when people do a search on his name it will pop up in google...
