How many miles on the F-250?

I can understand wanting something new.

on the plus side that f-250 should sell for way more than it should be sold for. (IMHO, they all do)

I'll give you guys the specs. 2000 7.3L Ford F250 (xlt), It's an extended cab with hatch doors (super-cab?), it has 18x,xxx thousand miles on it, but like everyone should know, that isn't sh*t for a diesel. Not much aftermarket gear on it. Has a trailer brake control system, new keyless entry locks, redid the air conditioning so it blows colder than the rockies, and I replaced the starter (because the old one was wearing out). It drives on 265/75/16 pirelli scorpions (which makes for one of the smoothest riding full-sizes I've ever driven/ridden). It may just be my imagination, but it seems to ride higher than other stock f250's so I can't help but think that it has lifted leaf springs. There's no body lift nor blocks. It may also be that those 31 inch pirellis just look disproportional... Even so, it's a hell of a truck.

Got a 06 tacoma 4 door plenty of room. Can't say much if ya put tall people in the back seat. Running 35's and it's my dd and gets great gas mileage!

Pic attached. Yea I'd recommend a tacoma bug everybody's different

I wouldn't go with a 2nd gen Tacoma 05-up just due to the mileage being worse than the 1st gen Tacoma's 95.5-04. I'm 6'3-4'' and 280 and fit fine in my Tacoma, just be sure to get xtra cab or dbl cab, no way I'd fit in a reg cab. I get 18-20 mpg in mine, highest being 24 mpg all hwy at 55 and lowest at 16 towing way to much weight. I've put 18k on mine and haven't had any problems so far. If you prefer a manual just remember that the dbl cabs do not come in 5spd only auto.

I'm not saying you don't get that gas milage. I'm just saying that truck isn't rated for over 20mpg with the either the 4 or 6. I'm just having a hard time believing it. Did you get the speedometer re calibrated when you put the tires on? Did you have it re-geared?

To the OP, you have a very sought after truck. I'd have a hard time getting rid of it for any thing else. But, when the new truck bug bites, it's hard to shake.

I definitely have the new truck bug.

I've weighed my options and here's what I've come up with... 1. I can keep the truck, save up, and modify it (exhaust, intake, programmer). The downside of this is my lack of incentive to upgrade it.. I'm a full time college student and can't really afford to put my money into my truck. Another is the fact that when I transfer, I'm going to be in the city. I can obviously drive my truck in the city, it's just that it'll be kind of a b*tch to do. I've taken it to Raleigh(and other cities) a few times, and between the traffic and lack of space (not to mention parallel parking) what's the point of even having it... I love taking it on open roads and using it for work but the thought of having it in the city almost sounds wasteful.

2. I sell the truck and use the money to buy something more efficient for me. If I'm in the market for something new (to me) I'm going to have incentive to save up more and either buy a newer model of something, or have the extra money to upgrade the new (to me) vehicle.

I had an 03 2.7l taco (double cab) for a few years. I liked the truck and the way it performed, I just didn't like how small it was. I may only be 200lbs and 6'2-3, but damned if I don't love me some room. I like the 2nd gen tacos and new frontiers because they beefed them up some. I drove my friends 05 tacoma back from Greenville to my house (hour and a half) and it felt less cramped to me. My only beef with tacomas is how they retain their price... Great for the sellers, but not for me. I couldn't get a 2nd gen tacoma like I'd like for less than 15,000. So I'm more leaning towards an 05-06 frontier (I've driven an 08 and liked it)

I'm 6'4" and I'm fine in my wj. With stock tires I got around 19-21 hwy, and i still get decent mileage with a 2" lift and 31's. If you werent so worried about the mpg's you would be fine with your truck as long as you stay off market street.
