Still thinking about aftermarket fenders, so what is everyone's thoughts on high line style fenders (meaning the ones that you need to trim the stock hood)? My long term ultimate goal for the TJ would be a tire no bigger than a 37 if that makes a difference.

I looked at that option and one of the manufacturers I think it's GenRight, even says on their kit that there is a lot of work involved and you must choose a smaller battery or a different location and you will lose your stock air box as well as a lot of other items on the inner Fender area because of limited space now. And they're bold enough to say;

Thank kind of made my mind up for me

Highline! They just look right. It can be done with all the stock stuff kept underhood (not sure about cruise control since the one i did didn't have that). That was with stock fenders moved up, so not sure if you lose or gain space with the genright/etc.

I like that hood design with fenders rolled into it. Clever. Unfortunately for me I'll just have to trim the fenders and tube them when I get to getting into mine. (PO hit a few things with bumper and fenders.. put this way, one of the shackle mounts was broken off the frame up front and he was still driving it. Told him leave it or trades not happening. Not trading running driving Cherokee for a rolled, crashed, pos body. Not happening) anyway, going to coils, it's going to end up 4-6" over stock I bet and probably won't see bigger than 35s since it's a kind reminiscent vehicle for me and the wife. Half street, half trail, half getaway from life vehicle. At least that's our plan. Dang, hijacked. At request, I'll cut paste to my build. I do really dig the hood fender combo but that must be a pain to align.
