Here its like .40/lbs.I think it takes something like 34 cans to make a pound.
Ive been told that they have thinned the cans down alot over what they use to be.The old cans only took like 24 to make a pound.
 
They have definitely gotten thinner.
We have a crusher in the kitchen, in our family we go through a lot of cans. Getting them on sale its actually cheaper than 2-3 liter bottles. We just crush 'em as we go, and toss in a bin, when the bin gets full, dump into a bag. The kids enjoy crushing 'em.
