I updated my galaxy 5, verizon. Now the damn thing lags, contacts continue to quit working. I have to restart it daily.

If they do not come out with a bug fix soon I getting ODIN out & going back in time or custom ROM

Anybody else having issues on here?

I did on my brand new s5, but I returned it within the 14 day window with no penalty. Went back to my iPhone 4S.

It would glitch mostly when switching between apps while multitasking. Also had problems with operations.

Ex: wouldn't send a photo in text message even if taken inside messaging app. Says file was too large.

I was disappointed. It seemed more like programming and software issues as the hardware was all great.

I break mine so much I never get a chance to see if it messes up!!!!!! The screens on these things blow!!!!

I'm having the same problem with contacts quiting, Instagram force closes as does Photobucket. So mad that I "updated" this phone.

It's not Lollipop that's giving you problems, it's Samsung/Verizon/AT&T/whoever's shitty implementation of it.

My HTC updated. They don't put all the bloatware shit on the phones that Samsung does, so it's working fine.

Having issues with mine now after updating it. Wife has same phone and is not updating till she has to. New update is junk.

So what your saying is if I root and remove the bloat ware it will work fine?

I don't have an S4/5/6, but you're not running "full" lollipop unless you're running Cyanogenmod or something like that.

For example, the whole lollipop "interruptions" control system has been replaced on my phone by the already-existing HTC do-not-disturb controls.

The reason I never got an S5 in the first place was because I read a review that said it was a great phone - ruined by shitty Samsung software. I wasn't really interested in keeping up with a rooted phone. It's against system administrator policy, anyway.

Me too, call me a lemming, but iPhone simply works better for everything I do. Mine is the lowly 5C.

I am running a baked mod on my tablet, works great. a little slow though. I looked at the Cyanogenmod for it. Just got stuck on the baked.

I am going to complain to verizon and see what happens. I don't get some kind of results I am ripping this crap out.

It still baffles me how every time a new OS comes out, people instantly find lots of issues with it. Platform doesn't matter. Who the heck is beta testing this crap!?!? And how can I keep it off my S4?!??

Don't update it.

I did the update a few days ago on S5. No problems at all, except did lock up one time maybe a couple of hours after the update....power off/on, and it's been working fine since.

Don't update it.

That didn't work out so well with Kit Kat last year. I cannot figure out how to keep Verizon from pushing onto my phone, even though I thought I had turned everything off (apparently not).

I tried clearing the app, no worky
Then I reset the phone, no worky and all my shat lost =pissed..

Is all your stuff backed up to the cloud? Do a restore?

My phone hasn't updated yet but my son's Nabi (tablet) did. It runs like total crap now. It freezes and quits the apps and games. I contacted their customer service and they said there will be a bug fix coming soon that their programmers are working on it now.

I did the reset, not a restore. Can I restore back to kit Kat?

I have no idea about that. What I'm getting at is that there's a lot of data on my phone -- but it's all replicated in various "cloud" services. Photos and videos are backed up to Plus, email is all in Gmail, music is on Amazon's or Google's servers, etc.

For example, the day I bought my new phone, it burned through my data cap in about three hours. When I logged in for the first time, it tried to download all my "stuff" to populate the new phone.

Gotcha, yea I am completely backed up. And this may be why it continued to fail after thE reset.
