This creature was sleeping on the upper left side of my porch roof Saturday night, then I saw it Monday night sleeping in the exact same position on the upper right corner (about 20’ opposite side). The ledge it’s perched on is only about an inch or so wide.

Any ideas? We had a couple, but wanted a broader consensus.

Looks like a bird to me :D

Not sure what it is but you can fry anything if the grease is hot enough

its a brown bird of some sort. Probably a finch or sparrow.

Same thing on my porch last week, then slowly every night the damn bird would bring more mud and sticks for her nest. Cleaned it with a pressure washer and hung a rubber snake in the corner, hasn't came back yet.

Up close it looks like fur, not feathers though. We thought maybe a bat, but the tail looked odd.
I was just being facetious, as I thought you already knew it was a bird. But its definitely a bird. We get those a couple times a year in our outside stairwell. Surprises the heck out of me in the morning when I come around the corner and it flies away.

Step 1. Have the wife video the next step. Make sure your hair looks good.

Step 2. Poke it with a stick.

Step 3. Post it here.

We will critique your hair and identify strange animal.

We used to have similar birds build nests on our front porch. I would remove the nest one day and it would be rebuilt the next! And they shit all over the deck. I ended up boxing in the soffit areas and putting crown on upside down on top of the pillars to block off any flat spots under the roof. They have not returned.
