I did forget to mention, Shawn has been involved with this board since I took it over. He's got great plans for it and I look forward to seeing it grow. I'll still be around, might even start making some events.

I've said it before, but Rob definitely gets credit for resurrecting this thing and keeping it running for the last 5+ years. He's a grouchy old cuss, but he's been a steady hand on the tiller and he's always been there to make the tough call. I expect he'll stay on in that role. :flipoff2:

I think we've got a really good thing going here and I'm not looking to mess that up. I'm sure a few things will change, I won't make decisions the same way Rob would have, but the goal is to keep this a place where you guys like to hang out, and where everybody can have a good time.

I do think there's a lot going on locally and regionally and would like to see the board be more involved in promoting and supporting those events.

Lastly, I want to thank all the moderators for all the time and energy they put into this place. It wouldn't work without them.
 
Thanks for taking over in 05 when it went down. I was here before that happened and was bored out of my mind waiting on it to come back up. Thanks, JR
 
Rob thanks for making this place home, it has been a great run. Shawn will continue to do a great job I am sure.

I love this place and have made some great friends along the way.
 
Lots of old members in this thread. I've been around since the old board, and I will say, NC4x4 is better now than it ever has been. Thanks for the all the hard work, I know it's not a very glamorous job.

I've been around since this was the original NCTTORA board. Mikey and the gang. I know.... I'm old. This board IS better than ever. Sometimes a little too sensitive, but still very good in every way.

Yea i started lookin back seems like Mar of 2005 is the oldest date, and I'm one of em, ha I feel Old Now :lol:


Wonder how many of the "March of 05" Members we still have left?
 
Mar 20, 2005 was when the new vBulletin board went live.

I've been on here since late 2002 or early 2003, not real active until 05ish, seen a lot of changes. It's nice to have a good local forum with a solid core of members AND a good flow of new members.

Rob, you've done a good job at the helm, and hopefully relinquishing control will allow you to enjoy the hobby more. As everyone has said, thanks for putting the time and effort into it, it's truly appreciated.

Shawn, good luck, you've got big shoes to fill, but I think you can handle it.
 
Thanks Rob and Shawn. I visit this site regularly, and hope it sticks around and keeps getting better like it has. I think I first joined back in early 2003.

I'm not very vocal on this board, but I read it everyday. Thanks for the time and effort it took to make this a great site and I look forward to seeing where it will go.
