Another LJ stretched on 42's "Sylvia"

Nate's not the owner, his buddy is....funny you bring this up cause he use to be the manager of the company that makes some of the parts on your Jeep that many people dislike......I think Artec will do pretty well in the next couple years.
Nice work on the Jeep, I've been checking this thread on a regular basis.

I didn't know- I thought he started Artec when he split off from... Well you know who but I don't want to be that guy.

Yeah... You'd know all about them. I don't have a problem with Vic, and the gang- I just think it's sad that a company with such good engineering struggles because of biz mgmt. And it even trickles into their ability to develop new products when your R&D $ is on fire. Anyhow, thanks for the heads up. Speaking of which, I need to ride by your shop next time I'm in IT seeing my buddy Marcus at Speed Styles. You can give me the tour ;-)

There are just major issues with productivity and customer service, we've been waiting our complete order we placed in February believe it or not.
Tell Marcus Alex says what's up. I need to come down there and talk to him soon, drop by anytime.

I believe it... But yeah- wow.

Alright... Big week. Sold my AEV Kit, sold my motor/trans and sold my hardtop so the sum of this finances the rest of the build... Or at least close enough.

Solid axle hub kit ordered

Mile Marker hubs ordered

(Thanks to Carolina Truggies for the input and a killer deal... These are some great guys!!! Thanks Alex & Josh!)

Bought a Hemi computer for an 04.

Squire automotive kit will get ordered this week for the Hemi swap

Getting there quick...

The fun continues...

Sad little Jeep... For now

This DEFINATELY qualifies as hardcore! My wife and I celebrated the birth of our daughter and first child, Mae, today at 2PM. She was several weeks early, but is healthy as can be. We are so blessed.

Thank you so much to my wonderful friends who have been asking about how we are doing, and particularly to my buddy John, who has not only been an amazing friend in this, but who has also kept the fires burning on other fronts for me while I have been out of action! Truly- I am blessed!

Does the build keep going...

Oh yeah- pulled the trigger on some new seats today.

Recaro Sport Toplines black leather/grey suede heated and cooled seats

Nate (engineer at Artec) even built in the ORIs for me instead of just dropping in a placeholder! What an awesome company!

Moving right along.

Where is the track bar mount attached , sort of looks like it's floating?

Don't y'all go copying my boy now. Lol.

Heck with his prices I don't see why anyone would anyhow...

Here's a couple better pics- lots of welding surface

Progress was made on the cage today...

A-CPillar.jpg

With the help of some trusty homeboys- a couple pillars were erected and up came the beginnings of a frame.

Speaking of erections coming up:

Thanks for keeping it short Grendel (ultimate "that's what she said" setup)

NOTE: Bending chromo tube with a manual bender requires mixing with vitamin M (Motrin) and some Cuervo. I would like to apologize to all involved for pain inflicted...

Speaking of great vendors! Thanks for the great deal on the A pillar kit Rick!!!

Some better pics of the seats... they look ALOT better in person than they did on the Recaro site

Ordered these bad boys! I only needed two since I bought a set for the rear 60 from Summit Racing last year, but Chip gave me such a great deal I bought 6! Thanks again Chip. Between this and the ORI's you've saved me almost $1,000 off MSRP! KILLER!!!

Ricky

September is my guess. Shoot me a PM and I'll get you my number so we can get out there.

Looks like you have a chevy d60 front, ORI's with crossover steering, T&T high-line front. Nice. Bet getting the pass drop pig under there was a real process.

Does that winch not cause overheat problems? It blocks almost the whole grill.

Yes, the Chevy D 60 was a chore, but it was in my CJ with everything else, and was already paid for... (several times)

The winch does block the air, but I look at it this way..

If the air wants the benefit of cooling my engine, and giving it's life to mix with my fuel, it will find a way around my winch. :shaking::shaking::shaking:

I did have some cooling "issues", but it is pretty well resolved. I now have a pusher fan and a mechanical fan on the engine, so the engine is staying around 200* in the hottest of days. It will creep up at idle, but cools back down with any throttle.
Running down the road the t'stat is always opening and closing.
When are you headed this way with the fenders and hood?

Oh, are you the friend of Will who ordered the T&T kit when he got his? What size flares are those? I have a wedding in OCT in Charleston. It will be then.
