Another LJ stretched on 42's "Sylvia"

So, the main lay out of the cage is done. It's all tacked in, A, B and C pillars. Now to start working on the support bars. The rear seat lay out is all figured out... then need the front seats and harness to get that done

Tig welding all this Chromo's going to fun...

It has been a very busy couple of weeks but we're headed back up next week to get working on this thing in the evenings.
Have a pallet full of steel for crossmembers, skid plates, the new belly-up and whatnot. Have some DOM rear tube fenders built and sheet metal to be put on. PLAN is to be bolt on when they are finished but we'll see

Yeah... I am officially broke! :-) But Nate and Arty REALLY hooked me up with some killer stuff. I'm so happy about getting all this Ballistic crapp off my vehicle and replacing it with something unique and engineered. (MUCH more to come on this point at a later date)

so... Kinda a NEWB question but, my Jeep won't start now. Any ideas?

Truthfully we didn't get much that we planned on done this weekend. Plan was:

Fri night- pull the body kit and hard top & pack up for the guy I sold it to; pull the motor, trans and aux. Stuff and crate them for the guy I sold them to. That got done.

Sat- the plan WAS to get the lower part of the cage done and get the stringers done for the cage.... BUT me being a sucker that I am I agreed to get a set of fenders welded for a local guy who doesn't have the know-how to do so- which means his stuff got done- not mine.

. Thanks SO much to Shawn and Tim for being flexible and helping out with all this- it wouldn't have gotten done without you guys! On a side note- WTF Rokmen. How about something in the form of good pictures or specs for putting these together. I'm glad these aren't my fenders.... To be this expensive unassembled that it absurd.

We thought we'd get the stuff we planned yesterday done today but... It's raining and there isn't room in the shop to get the Jeep in to weld so... Here she sits:

Yea.. cause I ordered 68 tires and didn't need them. They aren't all mine. Bunch of us got them at once... shipping is cheaper by the truck than by the tire.

Digging the build. Any progress lately?

Lots... just haven't posted it on here cause I didn't think anyone was following it. Its on PBB and JF under the same username.

Still following this.. updates?

Yea- we've gotten alot done. At the moment we are waiting for my wiring harness to get done by Squire for the Hemi conversion and on some shorty headers I ordered from Arrington Motors in VA for the Hemi.

My wife and I got rid of our home computer and went with 2 ipad's... its a better way to go- only downside is that I can't get the pictures out of my camera without either going to the apple store and buying the little SD card insert thing- or remembering to take my camera to work to download the pictures to my computer and upload to iCloud... been a busy few months at work so I've been getting there at 7am... and when I leave the house at 6:30 the last thing I'm thinking about is "remember you camera". LOL

I'll post an update soon... glad to know people are following.

After a long winter of craziness, we're back on the wagon. Here's the pictures of the frame build so far. We have some church things this weekend that may keep me from finishing it but it is really going along well so far.

Front half is all stitch welded in place now. We've been taking it down and fitting it up to the tub periodically and it really is fitting up nicely.

yes, i know Alex... you are a better welder than I am :-)

You arrogant bastard :-). I actually used to be a very good welder, it's just that now that I have a job where I wear a suit and not a RedKap shirt I only get to burn metal a couple times a year. Amazing how much better they have gotten just through the course of this frame build though... starting to look like dimes again.

Big step last night... BODY MOUNTS! Really starting to look like a Jeep frame now.

Bahahaha, come on now I gotta bust some balls every now and again.

Oh, I know you mean it in good fun buddy, and I do think you're an incredibly good welder... Almost makes up for you being such an ugly somabitch :-).

In a related story, more frame... everything is stitched and tomorrow I'm bolting it up to the tub to get some measurements for the rear cross brace, the front bumper, and a couple other little adders
