Another MJ Build thread

I wish....... I did buy a different rear axle ( disc brake 14 bolt) since there were too many unknowns with the 60 i had.

I am torn, but i need to sell my 4runner to raise some funds, and quit distracting me from this build.

I planned on setting up the rear axle this weekend, but looks like the snow will kill that, and i will be out of town next weekend......

bummer.

If its the same guy That dude is a b*tch and i hope he burns in hell :fuck-you: If i ever run into him again im gona bust a pipe upside his head...He screwed me out of time/Cash and a title..when i sold/did some trading with him on that 4runner..but ya live and learn..when i had it Chase at ECGS put all new head gaskets and etc on it. So i know its had at least 2 sets done:beer:

Funny, he said the same about you.

MJ looks great, get it going and wheel it!

Finally got back on this today.

cleaned up the 14 bolt(axle number 3 for this build)

Did more work today. Big thanks to my friends that helped out. I'm feeling a lot better about making the 3/20 race when stuff gets done like today.

Matt cleaning the old lower control arm brackets. I have been dreading this bad, i owe you one!

Found out that 5 people is about the max that can work in my driveway with the limited electrical plugs and space. I have never had stuff happen this fast though, it is great.

Hell yea

And you even finished the weekend with a semi organized garage and functioning motorized door. :flipoff2:

Im ready to see it with the new tube idea if thats still your plan.

My garage must have been worse than i thought it was......... but I'm glad you guys wanted to clean it.

Wouldn't have needed to fix the door if we didn't break it first:flipoff2:

I will definitely proceed with the tube work we were talking about last night.

Did a little more work today.

Got the rear tube work almost squared away, finally

Also, made more progress in plating the unibody. Ready to start on the new crossmember, which is the hold up to getting the front suspension done.

Looks really good. Sorry about not making it out your way. Next time I should be bringing gifts wrapped in 40" bows. :D

new pics for the two people who follow this thread :flipoff2:

Got the boatsides in. Made templates and everything, thought I had cut them perfect. NOTHING FIT RIGHT, but I didnt have enough 1/4" plate to fix them. After fully welding in the drivers side, i found my problem.... it was the one I cut for the passenger side:rolleyes:

I originally spaced the seat mounting tubes to use the plastic seats i used to have in the truck, but have bought some corbueas, which have a much largee mounting pattern. had to cut out and re-do the front seat tube.

full bump on the front

:shaking:I'm semi-following. I like to see what my chop saw is up to...since I've never used it and all.

i was following when you were building the yota:popcorn:

Dont forget to put drain holes for mud and water in those boatsides, cant see you if fully welded the bottom or not. I am going to feel really bad when you finish this before mine.

There is a small gap all along the bottom. I would like to say it was for drainage, the truth is i did a terrible job measuring :(

Good to know that injuneerun degree is being put to good use.

Finally been making a little more progress on this thing.

Front suspension still needs a track bar, and steering:
