So I bought this about a week ago haven't messed with it much. Had someone tell me it's kinda a rare find? (Whatever that's worth) 1995 Bronco XLT, 302 with the 5 speed. Don't know a whole lot about it other than it runs and drives and does what it's saposed to. My question is, is this a keeper/what do they sell for because I don't know broncos. 200k on the dash, no knocks ticks smoke or even a leak underneath. interior doesn't look it. Clean as a bell inside

The transmission is a Mazda M5OD. There are rubber plugs at the rear side of the top cover where the shift rails go in that are known to degrade and fall out. When they do, the transmission pumps itself dry. Any other Ford SB transmission will swap in its place, including the NP435, C6, ZF S5, etc. It's all standard Ford truck stuff underneath. 8.8 rear, TTB D44 front, couple of driveshafts, probably a BW1356 transfer case, etc.

I like the full size broncos. Roomy as hell.
Used to have a 90. Been all through it. Interior, motor, rear end, etc.
People's pricing is all over the place on them though.
I sold mine for $2200 to a buddy a few years back, with way less miles.
I see them go for $5000 though pretty regularly though.
If you painted it, and threw some 33's on it, I'd ask $6000
They rust over the fenders and in the bottom of the tailgate. If you don't have that problem, you're doing good.

A good friend had 2 in high school. One was a 302 the other a 351. Both with 33s. The 351 was awesome, 302 was underpowered. They could have been geared differently or the 302 may have been hurt, not sure.

Neighbor has a 90? I think bronco with the 351, 5 speed, 33s, and a soft top. Fun summer ride. Has good power for its size. But has the notorious ford ps pump wine.

I had a 302/5speed 1996

Only real "rare" thing about it, is how WEAK it is. Especially if you add tires, lift, etc. Mine was even geared well and it still wouldn't get out of it's own way. REALLY wanted a 351

A T18 is also a good swap for the trans. Borgwarner chain drive t case as well. Not super stout but a good unit. Finding one without fender or tailgate rot and rear glass issues is kinda hard. Also built a stupid amount of vacume lines for dry rot and head aches.
