Any golf cart connections on here?

Bought a camper back in June from a woman at work. Have taken it out a couple times already and are really enjoying the change of pace of hotels/ resort type areas and enjoying the type of people we have met at the campgrounds.
With that said, we are wanting to get a golf cart now that we feel confident we will be keeping the camper lifestyle for awhile. Problem I think I'm going to run into is my truck is a 3500 short bed and with the tailgate down it is really close to hitting the tongue jack of the camper on level ground. If there is any off-level between the two the tailgate hits so hauling with the tailgate down is not an option.
Wondering if anyone knows of certain models that may be shorter and fit in a short bed. Obviously, I feel anything lifted is out because of the lift kits pushing the front axle forward. Will a stock one fit without the rear seat/ footrest?
I have also seen some mini carts that collapse down like a cricket or I have seen some models called Aspire that look like a normal cart but smaller.
Anybody on here in the business of in the know of them? Would prefer to do business through someone here, even if it means traveling a little.

Saw a guy pulling a camper this morning with one in the back of a CCSB Chebbie. He just took the tailgate off, but was still kinda close to his jack (I guess it works for him). Nevertheless, you reckon removing your tailgate would help?

Problem is I have the tailgate with the spring assisted opening and cameras in it... Not sure what all it would take to remove it.
Easy answer is buy a long bed but mine is paid for and don't want to buy another truck in this market

Check out Idaho Tote Dolly. They’re expensive as crap. My uncle just made one himself for the back of his bumper pull. Same concept, but he just used a cheap utility trailer and “reverse engineered” it.

Jack-e-up an option?

Certainly would be a cheaper solution
Haven't had time to watch the whole video, but issues I see would be my jack is electric and my propane tanks are just behind the jack. Wonder if there's enough room to move it back any??
Not to mention, how do I install the jack back with the tailgate down and loaded? That's the purpose of the jack-e-up is to allow the tailgate to be down right?

If I understood correctly, if you're on level ground, the tailgate doesn't hit the jack...you were primarily worried about it being down and potentially hitting while turning/moving.

I would assume you could cut the lines to the jack and install a connector.

I've contemplated this option myself as my tailgate won't open due to my electric jack. LOVE to have access to my bed to pull stuff out instead of up and over the tailgate

To your point, I would wonder about the tailgate hitting the tanks when turning.

So after some more research of some of y'all's ideas and on Travel trailer forums and such it looks like removing the tailgate isn't that big of a deal to do and most seem to do this. However I have seen people able to use the support bars and/or the Jack-e-up. So looks like next step is find a cart then see what I can do to get it in there, worst case being I remove the tailgate all together.

So begins the hunt for a golf cart in what appears to be a similar market to the medium duty truck. If anyone has a lead and wants to share I'd appreciate it. Or anything you like/dislike about one brand or the other.

Get the cart in the back of the truck. Put a floor Jack under the rear of the cart and lift it up. Onto Jack stands to create room for tail gate to move up
Use ratchet strap to hold tailgate up and away from tanks/Jack etc.

Obviously this works better if you remove the rear step or bumper off the golf cart. Usually 2 bolts (depending on brand and style) Pretty easy to put back on at your destination.

Also…. I highly recommend Club Car of any vintage. They use aluminum frames. E-Z go uses cheap steel frames and they rust out. Also… if I remember correctly EZ go used plastic gears in the transaxle and don’t like high rpms.

I ran a golf cart shuttle business and the EZ go was a maintenance pig. The Club car was just keep oil in it and it was happy.

i prefer gas (refuel vs recharge) but a lot of places only allow electric. Keep fuses with you. They don’t blow often but when they do it’s never at a convenient place.
