Any Smokers here make your own cigarettes?

The question about pipe vs Cigarette tobacco, Pipe tobacco is different, at least a little. It has a hight moister content, and it is a longer cut. Being a longer cut, it's more difficult to get into the tube(that's the paper and filter part). So, I use a small food processor to cut it a little finer. I also dry it some, so it will burn better.

Like what John said, to tight, makes it so you can't draw through it.
Biggest issues I have had is making sure the tobacco goes all the way to the filter, if not, just like too tight, you can't draw through it

With the price of carton's of cigarettes, using this method, saves around $250 a month between Leslie and myself.

I bet carrying the torches around all the time is a bitch too......

the torches are on a cart and why would my smoking have anything to do with the torches?

When I was a kid my dad got some tobacco plants from a friend and planted them for fun. He grew them up and cured the tobacco. A guy he worked for asked for some and he ended up making his own tobacco and really liked it. He ended up after that growing his own and curing them. Dad said the guy would show up at work with a big bag of home grown tobacco and roll his own.

Just don't try smoking anything that is commercially grown. In high school they had the yearly tobacco market downtown and there were leaves all over the road where they would fall of going to market. We grabbed one and took it back to school and dared one of our friends to smoke it.

I have never seen someone turn green before, but I swear he turned green and started puking everywhere.

Spence & myself did that some in college, but only as a hobby

No one really smokes that stuff. They just buy it to carry around so they won't get a paraphernalia charge.

I guess rolling pipe tobacco is better than cigar tobacco. I do like a GOOD cigar and used to chew on a cheap Swisher Sweet now and then, but some cigars smell like burning to me. I don't think I've ever smelled stinky Pipe tobacco. I can't smoke a pipe cause I inhale too often and slobber on the stem

I use the same machine you have Chip, we spend $40 a week on 5 boxes of tubes and 2 bags of tobacco (action) cost $9/1lb bag. Where we were smoking 5-6 cartons a week between 3 of us. I'm saving about $150 a week making my own. At that kinda savings who cares what they taste like. There actually not much different than your average cigarette.

I rolled "drums" for a good while. Pouch would make about 50 cigs but the last 20 or so where hard to choke down when the tobacco dried out. Keeping it in a zip lock bag used to help.

A lot of guys roll those all natural American spirits but there a little high compared to drums.

We use this one we use Chip and I prefer the tobacco as is as fer as it isn't as harsh and I don't wake up with a smokers cough with this. in NY is where I got started at this because Cigs are 9 bucks a pack up there.
