Sorry guys I have not logged in a checked my posts for a while as I have been going non stop since January. I have all my gear in line and at some point will post a complete gear list. I have done many shake down hikes and know the gear inside and out. I have already returned, and exchanged numerous items but I guess that comes with the process and is exactly what shake down hikes are for.
I head to Springer March 11th, and start my hike March 12th. That is 18 days! It's getting closer and time is flying by. I'm currently in Maine but head back to NC tomorrow. I've been up here for the last few weeks saying bye to my family here.
I'll be keeping a journal on www.trailjournals.com my journal is not live yet as I have 2 of the 3 entries needed before it goes live. It will be live on their site before I leave for Springer. You can simply look up my name (Chris Nadeau) once it is live and it will show you my entries by date.
That will be the best way to track me as I doubt I'll have time to log onto the forums, although NC4x4 will most certainly be the first one I log into if I get the chance!
Thanks to all whom posted in this thread, every bit of advice was taken into account. For those of you who will be following me on trailjournals.com enjoy! You'll definitely be seeing the nice, pissed off, tired, and so on sides of me to say the least.
