Anybody been to or know anyone that has been to NASCAR tech?

I know, they're owned by UTI, but 37k is way too much for that education. I was refering to if you went to Forsyth tech or the like. Don't know if they have those connections.

i went to UTI in houston, tx before they opened the mooresville school. i was happy with what i got. i now make good money as a detroit diesel/allison transmission tech. i would recommend getting a background in diesel as i did(I took everything-except nascar.) because everything is going that route. unless they changed it, nti does not have a diesel/heavy truck program or hot rod u.

NTI

I graduated from NTI in Mooresville 2 years ago. The cost of the schooling was right at $22,000. Was it worth it? Well I'm a Ford Diesel Tech now. I worked at Parkway Ford in WS but now work for one of my best friends at his independent Diesel Perf shop south of WS. If I had it to do all over again I would have taken the Asset program and spent a ton less. Thats all i'll say about that.

Most NTI guys are the laughing stock of the garages on race day. Hell, I have a finance degree and I catch WAY less flak than those guys (and this is just in Nationwide Series...). Good for general mechanics...but IMHO it shouldn't be called NASCAR anything...bc they certainly don't prepare those guys for NASCAR (from what i have experienced).
