Anybody wear Carhart boots?

Not much help here but i passed on them because the ones I saw werent American made. Bought American built wolverines instead. Didn't try them on so can't tell you. if noone can help I can swing back by and try them for size

Didn’t specify if lace up or slip on but I have these and they are true to size. Only about 6 weeks old but I really like them. Gonna buy a second pair for good wear. They were about $175 iirc.

Damn you lucky "normal" people that can wear stuff like that. I'm a 14/15 Narrow. AA or AAA in a dress shoe.

Usually it's the opposite, stores only have Carhartt shit in xxxl or 48x30s, and as you know if you don't try on Carhartt clothes or boots they won't ever be the right size. Whatever imaginary sizing system they use, its always wrong.

Anyways, congrats on the big ol D

Awesome thanks. Those are the ones I was going to get. Has steel toe also. They are 99 bucks at RK.

I'm a 13 EEE...really a 4EE but rare to be able to find those.

My son wears a 16 and as wide as you got, his foot sticks off the side of a standard brannock device.

Regarding Carhartt boots. I hate them. Bought apair and took them back after a couple days. The place was awesome about allowing me to return.

For a mass produced work boot these are hard to beat:
Two Harbors | Irish Setter

I prefer a 1178 or 1155 red wing slip on...made in usa, hand stitched goodyear welted...They run about 220 but can be resoled (by redwing) for $50 and so long as you dont light them on fire your kids can wear them.

Since you're always good for shoes...have any recommendations for steel toe loafers and/or oxfords? Oxfords aren't as tough to come by, but usually look like ass. Need a 16w, and my go to source hasn't made any thing above a 15m in about a year.

unfortunately no help there.
I limit my steel toes to boots in the truck and if Im wearing loafers (rare) I swap into PPE when needed.

Lebos in Charlotte and Morgan's in Gastonia have a lot of large, wide, odd sizes to try on. I have a real hard time finding work boots that I can wear more than a couple hours. My current ones are Wolverine and they are just ok. I have had some Irish Setter years ago that I liked.

Morgan's is my go to.

Same ones I wear when work warrants a need for steel toe.
Had them for 3-4 years. Very comfy

Same ones I wear! Very comfy, seem pretty true to size. I wear a 14 in most shoes and boots and a 13 in just a few. I wear a 14 in these so, I’d say true to size. Definitely great boots, I wear mine 40 hours a week, have had the same pair for two years now (a good testament to them considering I’m 300lbs) and will be getting a new pair soon!
