Anyone ever owned or built a ramp truck?

That's a nice truck for sure, but with the hills we have to pull I don't think the engine would be very good at it. Swap in a 440 or a cummins and you'd have something!

I have a 360 in my CC and pull my RC no problems, other than gas mileage :flipoff2:. Is it as good as a CTD? Hell no, but its no dog and gets the job done.

Ken's rig is ~5K~, and he wants to be able to pull a 19-20' camper.
So, a 360 would be worked to death, pulling all of that, gear, family, and pets.
He would either need to gear it down, killing him on the flats, or up, killing him on the hills, or change out trannys or use a under or overdrive gear box.
I have a strong 454, running a 4.10 gear, hauler weighing in at 9300 puonds, hauling a 6300 pound rug, pulling a 1300-1400 pound camper, and it's 35-40 up old fort mnt, and 65-70 on the flats with a 465 manual tranny.

Good luck to whatever you decide Ken, but if you wanna sell your truck then give me a shout.
