Anyone know where Goat Farm Road is?!

Found one in Streets & Trips in Granite Falls.

From Hickory, go west on 70 about 10 miles from 321 and turn right (north) on Malcolm Blvd in Connellys Springs.

Stay on that road for about 5 miles. Note, when you cross into Caldwell county, the name of the road changes from Malcolm Blvd to Connellys Springs Road.

Turn left on Baton School Road in Granite Falls. After you've been on Baton School Road for about 2.25 miles, it looks like you come to a "T" in the road where Baton School Road continues to your right and Goat Farm Road is on your left.

That sounds right. We where right around that area last night, but the instructions we had where crap and we ended up driving around for 30 minutes looking for it

na, apparently its supposed to be some Satanic Place..

Stupid stuff really, we just had no where else to go last night.

I guess theres some bridge on it that if you turn off your car on the bridge, it wont start until its off the bridge..
 
Hmm, that tell must be all over NC. Because there's a bridge back in my home town called Blue Bitch Bridge. The story there is not satanic, but Racist. Back in the days the KKK took this lady's baby and threw it over the side of the bridge into the water below. Well the story goes that the woman's ghost is still looking for her baby today. Really creepy place in the middle of nowhere and basically you drive your car onto the bridge, cut it off, get out and yell "Blue bitch I've got your baby" and of course you'll evening hear someone or something coming and of course when you jump back into your car to to run, your car won't start. What gets most people is that when they cut their car off, they leave it in drive. And when they jump back in and try to crank it.... it really doesn't start. What's really werid about this place is that it's on a long dirt road so you can hear someone coming from a long ways away because of the gravel. Well a long time ago I was down there screwing around with a couple of my friends trying to freak them out and out of nowhere this old truck just comes flying down the road (one lane bridge mind you) and start heading straight for us. We jump in the car and floor it and this guys actually chases us down this road all the way out to the main highway and then flips us off. Never heard the guy coming or anything. Kinda freaky!
 
Not sure if this is the same road but here in Dallas there used to be a Goat House Rd. with nothing but farmland and a bridge on it. It used to be a dirt road, I think one of the last ones in the county to get paved:mad:
Anyway this was a racist thing as well and if you park on the bridge facing the right direction you will see a huge old oak tree up the road-thats where they hung people from(this part could very well be true, I know the people who have owned that piece of land for over a 100yrs and...well...). Cut the truck off, stare at the tree, count to ten while you're sayin something and its not supposed to start.
My crew from HS and I would take girls and city boys down there and purposely leave the truck in drive and bring them damn near to tears. Also remember going down there for after school fights. A close friend of mine owns a total of 177acres on both sides of the road which is now named Colt Thornburg since it got paved. I can take yall snipe huntin some night down by the river if you're ever interested.......
 
^^Ive been down Colt Thornburg Rd alot, and know that bridge. I went to East Gaston, so I don't know the stories, but Ive laid down some rubber on that road.

yea the state sold it to a guy and he had it
moved to his pond.:)
the dirt road has been paved and a new concrete
bridge built.
lots of kids learned to drive on that road.:driver:

Yes the T is actually like a big curve in the road. I lived on the next road over for a summer a few years back, with some friends. And there used to be some sort of Occult group that would sacrafice animals out there at the church/castle. Creepy area, The road is pretty long and there is a house that can only be seen at night, but it could be that you just do not notice it, during the long drive. LOL Teenagers always go out there for a scare. I have not been there in a LONG time. Cops used to avoid the area so that might be why we went there!
 
I used to work with the guy that lives at the end of that road. He used to catch black widow spiders & sell them to some laboratory that made an anecdote sp? with them.

Never heard about satan worshipers there though.

I remember doing stuff like that when I was younger. Have fun & don't get into trouble! lol
 
We have a bridge in Jamestown too. Its where some girl supposedly was killed on her way to prom. One night i was riding in the back of my buddies truck and I swear I saw a girl in a prom dress wave to me and just sorta dissapear :eek:
