I will build it for FREE, the only thing you have to pay for is the tubing, which is kinda expensive right now. it will cost around $600-700. It will be all 1.75 x .120 DOM
This isn't my first cage, but its my first on a jeep and i really need to get my name out and drum up some business
Let me know if your interested, as i want to get started on this ASAP!!

Is that cage tied into the frame and the seats?

you should cage my toy.....ill run a sticker for ya:beer:

ill drop it off and pay for tube, i ussally hit up three shows a year and im at URE at least twice a month........theres your name....like a moving billboard:lol:

^seriouslly though thats a pretty nasty cage right there, someone would get ALOT of labor free!

Sweet cage!....and I was thinking about hacking the roof off of my S-Blazer and doing a similar cage, but it's not running yet to even drop it off. You weren't throwing this offer out for a few months from now, were ya?

Good luck and great work!

How long will it take, and how long will you need my jeep for.

I was planning to do one myself.... but time is an issue for me right now.

Just two questions on this cage, the others you have already answered.
1. Will a stock strapless bikini top still fit (issues with sun)
2. can I see the top of the cage, I want to see if I can used the top center rails for something in the cab.

If interested PM me, I am the president of Vertical Excursions Jeep Club in Raleigh and could possibly promote you at local events.

i have that guys build thread from pirate. looks like he finally got his jeep to sit low like he originally wanted.

pm sent

after a second look i guess he just removed the coils from the coilovers to get it into the garage maybe

oh yeah bryan up there maybe the president but i still show him up every time we go wheeling. haha sorry but i had to throw that in.

You could do some thing simaler to my fullsize Jimmy , Im down in Shallotte , i do all the local mudboggs, URE, and a beach run or two up your way . what better way to get your name out then with a big ass fullsize rolling around with your cage in it.

This sounds like a good deal for someone who needs a cage.
Sounds like you have a good business sense about you.
I wish you good luck!

Also....another way to help spread your name is to donate a raffle prize or two at a 4x4 event. I know of a needy event
if you are interested.
Carolina Trailblazers are hosting the Southerv 4wd assoc. summer convention in Mt. City TN. June 8-10
PM me if interested. good luck again!

local pic.....
i'm in wilmington...... i wheel URE and will be expanding that to tellico and possibly Crozet VA. then more from there.
does that completely replace the stock cage?? if so, you can have the one in it to sell and make a few bucks.

also, where is your shop?? name of it?

Ive got a Yellow '00 TJ on full width 1-ton's, 38" SX's, H1 double beadlocks . Do you do body work too? I really need to stretch my wheelbase, but im always too lazy or to busy to do it. If you are serious about the cage, PM me and we will talk. Im regularly around Charlotte, Gastonia, Hickory, and Durham, and wheel Uwharrie and Tellico, but am looking to wheel all the other places I keep hearing about now that Ive graduated and will actually have weekends again.

Because it's ugly and includes a lot of unneccessary tubes... IMHO at least.

Some like it, some don't, but at least it's not an unsafe design. I'd probably move the rear spreaders down to the mount foot vs. the middle of the tube, but other than that admittedly small detail, it looks fine.

Let's face it. Builders have to try and stand out a little while working in the constraints of safety, and if everyone built the same design, you'd never know who built what.

I think he needs to find a new supplier...or admit he's charging labor for $600-$700...

I got a quote of half that price for tube using his picture as the example...

Greg

If you can get a full cage, tied into the frame with seat mounts, with DOM, made, installed, and painted for $300-$350, then jump on it.

Maybe someone who buys tube by the truckload and does cages all the time could bust it out in half the time & cost, but I tend to think $600 is pretty fair.
