Man that didnt last long did it...give credit where its due!!!! ECU is a Division 1 school with how many scholarship spots on the team and 12 or more returning seniors? APP didnt even have a starting QB who averages 3 TD's a game, App played their 2nd string QB the whole first half, and the QB the second half was a redshirt first year player..ECU was picked to win in every category by more than 21 points yet it was only a 5 point win... but yes a win is a win! It was a great game but ECU better step it up to do anything in their conference. APP proved way more than they were supposed to, as usual.
 
I like App, but being an ECU graduate & the smack talk on here - I was obliged to bark a little. I would have loved to have been there.....you forgot home field advantage in the excuse list.:flipoff2: J/K

not making excuses, I said a win is a win. However, I would have like to see the game with Edwards as QB

Pinkey better get it together by next week. No worries on App's end though, you guys are going to play the football powerhouse Mcneese St.
 
we played like crap in the second half. Its been an ongoing issue that they have problems finishing a game. why? I have no idea but they do.

however, we still won by only scoring 2 points in the second half. If we played the second half like the first half it wouldn't have even been close. Personally, I think we started playing some 2nd string guys and putting the 1st string guys back in there was a loss of mementium.

app played a good game, just not quite good enough :)
 
Just got back from Greenville... wow was it freaking HOT!!!! Game was awesome, tailgated with some ECU guys along with my group of ASU guys and we had a blast. I think ECU and ASU both know how to tailgate that is for sure. The intensity at the game was awesome as well. Congrats to ECU on the W.

Now with that said... I think App showed the Pirates what a 3-time FCS Championship program is. Yes we lost, but only by 5 points, but as has been stated, our star QB didn't play a single down. And as to "if the pirates played the second half like they did the first" my response is if ASU played the first half like we played the second half, we would have won. No matter what we lost, and you are right, a Win is a Win no matter if it is by 1 point or by 100. All I have to say is if ECU playes the rest of the season like they did the second half, you will be lucky to be .500

Congrats to ECU, and I hope you are not scared to play us again because just like I said before, I hope this becomes a rivalry, even though you don't think we are on your level, but apparently we are! haha :)

Oh and thanks for the 6 figure amount you payed us to come almost kick your butt! :D




Yes, I think naked cheerleaders should be mandatory at all games!
