are the games going to operate about the same as the past?
The games will run differently this year. Open most of the day for fun, not competition. More info to come...
 
I also was wondering if there is camping at the UOTC like for the Veterans ride in Nov. had a blast, and if so how much?
Camping is only available to clubs and vendors. Thank you for your interest.
 
I was going to go but I still have a bumper to weld up and a winch to mount. Also headlights are being retrofitted right now so it might be middle of the month.
 
Any groups riding on the 5th mind if me and possibly one other 4runner tag along with them? I'm not 100% sure if the other 4runner will be able to make it and would like to not be stuck by myself.

3rd Annual Spring ‘John Deere’ Uwharrie OHV Jamboree
April 5, 2014
Mission Statement: “Bringing all Uwharrie off-highway vehicle (OHV) users together to aid in recruiting volunteers and to raise awareness to ‘TREAD Lightly!’ So that the Uwharrie National Forest OHV Trail System can develop and be maintained”

Less than a week to go and great weather forecasted! Vendors/Dealers need to be setup and ready to go by 8 AM, Gates open at 9 AM.

The Uwharrie OHV Jamboree is entering its third year and will be larger and with more events than last spring. The Jamboree focuses on the off-road: Jeep, 4WD, Dirt Bike, ATV and ROV (Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle)/Side by Side crowd in Central North Carolina. The Jamboree is located in the Eldorado community of Montgomery County, across the street from the Eldorado Outpost on NC Highway 109, 10 miles North of Troy. The Jamboree is in conjunction with the Uwharrie National Forest OHV Trail System opening. This weekend has proven in the past, to be the busiest weekend at Uwharrie!

This event is promoted by Uwharrie Off-Road Training Center/JAARS-Partners in Bible Translation and Title Sponsored this spring by John Deere and James River Equipment of Asheboro, NC. Other dealers already signed up are Hendrick Jeep of Fayetteville, Mid-State Toyota of Asheboro, Cycle Center of Asheboro, Bill Plemmons RV of Winston-Salem, KC Xtreme Machines of Greensboro, Lake Norman Power Sports of Cornelius and World Class Power Sports of High Point.

This year’s events will include: Test drive/ride your favorite off-road vehicles on the EXPANDED ‘John Deere Off-Road Test Track”. This is the perfect opportunity to test drive a new ATV/UTV. Vendors include: Two Guys Metal Fabrication, Tarheel 4WD Center, 3:16 Off-Road, Carolina Metal Masters, Vittore Wheel and Tire, Southern Suicidal Lighting, Air National Guard 118th Air Support Operations Squadron, Helicopter Rides and 4WD rides provided and sponsored by JAARS “The JAARS ‘30 minute’ 4WD rides are something you do not want to miss! They will take place on a 200 Acre piece of private property specifically designed for Off-Road Driver Instruction and only cost $5 per person! UORTC uses this trail system for their 4WD-101 and 202 classes!”, 4WD Club Booth’s, Car Crush! sponsored by Trailheadz Club, USFS Booth, TREAD Lightly! Booth, RTI Ramp sponsored by Central North Carolina 4x4 Club, Carolina Bronco’s ‘Meet & Greet’, Chili sponsored by the Mad Mudders 4x4 Club, Food, 4x4Games sponsored Carolina Trail Blazers 4WD Club, Friends of Uwharrie, Uwharrie Off-Road Training Center, Southern Four Wheel Drive Association and more!

The 4x4Games are definitely a unique experience and fun. Drivers and navigators will be tackling some interesting challenges. These games can include: ‘Balance beam’, ‘Blind Dog Run’, ‘Spear the Ring’ and ‘Ball and Post’. Only 4WDs may enter the 4x4Games.

Scott, per my email- I will be there by noon on Thursday to help set up. Looking forward to a few days at the Jambo
 
I will be off work Thursday. All I need to know is what time to be there. I will be able to help out till around 3
