Anyone know where I can get one? My wife has this obsession now with these little pigs and while I don't think we can have one to keep. I'd like to bring her home one to see and love on for a little while.

Anyone have any idea where maybe I could borrow a baby pig?

I know it sounds a bit crazy, but this would really make her day.

$25 for a pig!? jeez, I thought they'd be at least a couple hundred. I'd hate to buy one though...we cannot keep one at our house. but what points it would get me though!!!!!

They turn vegetables into bacon. Just a sidenote for after you get tired of it.

This is why I just want her to see it and hold it for a little while and then back it goes. I think they are cute, but I do not want to have to deal with another shitting animal in our house.

Not sure how it is with your woman, but this is typically how it goes with mine when another animal is introduced:

Me- No, we're not keeping it
Her- Yes we are. Look how cute it is, it needs to be taken care of.
    Me- No
Her- It's name is ______, and it's sleeping right here.
    Me- No
Her- You're wrong, you just don't know it yet.

So I wouldn't advise even letting her see it. That's how I wound up with a dog I didn't want, two cats (one of which was pregnant...now have 4 more kittens), chickens and I'm sure one day I'll come home to goats, a donkey, a couple penguins and a dolphin in the bath tub.

Most pigs grow to enormous size. What has she got against dogs? or why not a puppy? they are just as cute and much less trouble down the road.

Wait until Dixie classic fair comes around. They race little ones out there a fee times a night. The people who own them will let you hang out and hold/feed them.

Pigs are smarter than dogs. I used to have a 250lb pot belly and she was a damn genius. They're also not bad animals to keep in a house, I've seen a few people that had them. Sounds crazy, but it'd be kinda cool to have a trained, highly intelligent, walking garbage disposal around the house. They have some breeds now that don't get very big. I'd love to have another pig. My cousin/neighbor has goats and they're pretty awesome too.

If you get a pig, you also must acquire a baby monkey:

She died of old age. She was mostly blind and pretty much deaf, but she had a helluva nose on her. She'd scare the shit out of you too if you weren't paying attention! She was also one of the pickiest eaters I've ever seen....but her name was Bacon :D

To the best of my knowledge, pot bellies are very good eating.

When I was like 18 I made the mistake of buying a Pot Belly Pig. My sister had this phase when she was younger and my girlfriend (stephanie) at the time was a big supporter. So for my sisters birthday I bought her a baby potbelly pig, I build a giant version of a litter box for it, and I brought it over. (Black female pig we named Oprah) Yeah we are racist bastards, but its hilarious so get over it. For a few weeks... she loved it. Once she started to have to pick up after it, it quickly lost its appeal, not to mention it grew very quickly. After a few months we moved it out to my girls house, she had room for it and a pen outside with plenty of room. She kept it for about a year and it got pretty big...

One day I get a call from her mom, something is wrong with Oprah, had some kind of horrible infection and had maggots inside her eye. We really didn't know what to do, but Oprah was in some kind of pain and wouldn't let me or anyone else touch her so we figured best to put her out of her misery.

Shot her in the head with a 30-06, close range. 5 second period of silence... Then suddenly she is up running and screaming and I shot her again and finished the job. Tough bitch.

When Stephanie got home and heard we shot the pig... She wouldn't talk to me for days other than crying and telling me she hated me. So be very careful... Even though the pig was fucked up, I was the asshole for killing it.
