Bad axle u-joint?

There should not be any angle at the pinion if you're running a double cardan CV shaft. This will cause rhythmic vibrations and clattering/noise.

I was just under the truck measuring angles, spinning the front d/s, took a few pics…. I just found this and probably the source of the noise…. You’ll like this. Note the missing outside clip.
