If you guys would stop treating him like you're yelling at your kid, maybe the guy could actually start to feel at home, damn.
:shaking:

i told him to post as if his momma were reading this!!!!

kidding aside, this isnt as bad pirate but there is definatly some chidding and hazing that goes on here. Thick skin is important on this forum. Once you realize that no one really means any harm and most of it is intended to be helpful you just have to know how to interpret it, things arent so bad around here.

As mentioned before, the roughing up of newbies keeps the riff raff and under age people in check long enough to tell if they are serious about learing the ins and outs of fourwheeling.

Come'on rat i dont know it!!! :( tell me so ill know. haha.

you asked for the advice, you don't have to take it :fuck-you:

good comeback nash....careful though, build some more respect for yourself before you start bashing back.

Let us know your not an asshat. just kinda take some of the crap for a while. as respect for you grows, the kidding will stop. unless you really are an asshat.....then they will pretty much run you off from the site. look at xjsaregay.

who is this Larry fellow...did i miss a thread or something?

Larry..what did you do to piss everyone off! SHeesh.....Newbs. :shaking:

rules are pretty simple. Behave as if your mom comes on this forum. dont say anything that y ou wouldnt say in front of your mom!
Act as if you are among friends and soon enough, you will be.
Dont talk about or encourage wheeling in illegal places.
Dont advertise goods or services without being a vendor.

I guess I can pretty much say most anything then. My mom tends to have a worse mouth than me! hahaha.

Not sure i would admit that in public. lol.

the googleman thread was a great read....how'd i miss that!

You mean...someone has actually used 3M weatherstripping for a valve cover gasket? :shaking:
Wow. You probably work on your ride, like...all the time, right?
Ok,for you young wippersnappers out there that don't know,3M weather strip adhessive(gorrila snot) was used by mechanics to help hold gaskets in place while assembly. This was before RTV became so popular and you had so many different varieties for different applications. Now back to your regularily scheduled program.

valve cover gaskets only cost like 5 or 6 bucks???

18 yrs back high school auto mechanics....Mr. Wood (instructor) used the stuff on all valve gaskets to hold in place. I still use it and it works.

Used to you had to make your own gaskets out of cork...RTV hasnt always been at Advance but, Advance hasnt always been here either. People actually used to go to a parts house wher your buddy worked and buy parts. Not a 10.00hr young kid who needs to know if you have AC to get a tie rod. just my 2cents

this guy told me to use 3M weatherstripping for my valve cover gasket. thats awesome.[/QUOTE

actually ,that's a old trick some of my dads drag racing buddies taught me,use the yellow weatherstrip adhesive to hold your valve cover gasket to the valve cover,so when you have to take the valve cover on and off again to adjust the valves, the valve cover gasket wouldnt get damaged,it worked for us,we could use the same set of vc gaskets for a whole season of drag racing, but not actual weatherstripping

and these days we have those neat-o fel-pro butyl rubber gaskets than can be re-used again and again.

Old tricks are neat, but solutions to the problem are mo' betta.
