When you drive down the wrong side of the road, maybe at high speed, straight up to a TANK, That's a pretty good sign! Several questions come to mind though. Why didn't the tank just Sit on him? Why when he turned around, did he not run over him again? Why did the tank not BLAST the car?
The delayed explosion was just as odd as the smoke & dust seemingly coming from the field beside the car. But, it seemed the car ended up in a ball of flames on the opposite side of the road. So I'm guessing the explosion escaped out the side of the car, propelling it across the road, & the side explosion created all the dust & smoke across the field.

Tank driver probably assumed there were explosives in the car and wanted to get the hell 10x10 away once the threat was imobilized.
You saw the size of the explosion, if he'd stayed on it after crushing he would have been toast.

I present you Gary Plouche.
Some of you older members may remember this, but I just read about it the other day.
And for those of you children of the internet like me who want to see the full video, 3rd one down:

In today's world he'd be locked away for ever.

Yep, and the other guy heralded as a "trans-age martyr" or some bullshit.

The good ol days really were gooder. You could call from a random payphone number and people would actually answer, carry your pistol to the airport, kill a child molester, and then go back about your business.

I remember that when I was a kid.

If NASCAR was always this entertaining, I'd watch a few laps :D

That's how I do it in the video games
He said he first tried it when he was 8 years old, playing video games!

I saw the highlights. All of the other drivers were butt hurt about it.
It will inevitably lead to some new stupid rule which will screw up the results of future races.

I watched the last 20 laps of that race. It was pretty insane seeing how fast he came around the track on rails. I was like, where TF did he come from

It reminded me of Days of Thunder.

The crazy thing is that most of the ones complaining about it have tried it before, and it didnt work. I think he got lucky, in part, and Martinsville is likely the only track where it would work. They loose so much speed going through the corner.

The best part is that he set a new track record for lap time and speed also. 2nd was that he knocked Denny out of the championship.

I don't watch Nascar at all, but dang I'd just about start watching it if stuff like that happened more often. That was an awesome and bold move. I bet they throw some rules out next year that discourages it (which for safety sake they probably should).
