My old 19v Craftsman impact has seen better days. What is the bees knees now for cordless impacts?

Search "Milwaukee" here... you'll see ;-)

Milwaukee swap the world...think mine is the 2762 and has been revised/updated a couple times since I bought it.

Is that the bigger (1100#??) one? There might still be a deal going on for that. Bare tool for $200 with a coupon for a battery.

I took Matt's advice and got the medium sized one. It's fine. It'll remove most things, but definitely has an upper limit.

Whoops...Just checked, I actually do have the 2763 which is the 700lbs fastening, 1100lbs max ‘nut busting’. It was the ‘big boy’ at the time, but don’t know if it still is.

Where did you see the deal?

I have the 2767 which is 1000lb fastening and 1400lb "nut busting" torque. I haven't used it a lot, but I haven't found anything it won't take off yet. But it's a big heavy mofo. I also have the 2554 stubby 3/8 impact which I find myself using A LOT more than I thought I would.

Yeah...mine does get used ‘alot’ for home garage use, ‘not alot’ when compared to professional use. The torque is nice to have when you need it, but don’t really need it outside of tire changes. The Milwaukee tool I use the most is my 3/8 right angle impact, followed by their hammer drill. I have a 1/4”/hex that I’ve used maybe twice in 4 years.

Ditto here. I've only had a handful of times it hasn't done the job, and on those I just switch to a breaker bar and 3' pipe, and a little profanity.
The weight savings carrying it everywhere is totally worth it.

Milwaukee for sure, if you pay attention you can pick them up on sale as a bare tool and free battery. I bought the big one and it has blown me away with what it will take off. Just have to be careful putting stuff on because you'll be way to tight in a matter of no time.

Milwaukee it is! If anyone sees a deal on the big boy post up!

Same I'm in the market.

Do yall use the 1/2 for anything but wheel swaps and suspension work? It's appealing but I'm wondering if a 3/8 would be much more useful for daily usage.

I don't think this is the same deal, but found this:

Milwaukee Free M18 Battery | Acme Tools

It's the same list/prices at toolbarn.

That’s where I buy my Milwaukee from. Usually have some sorta $150 two tool combo deal that comes with 2 batteries and charger too...I think that’s how i actually ended up with my hammer drill and hex impact.

My Dewalt 20V brushless 1/2" impact is stupid-fun...if the Milwaukee is better, be careful not to break off your lug nuts.

The pin detent is straight from the devil. that is all.

Milwaukee for sure

nothing to add.....milwaukee everything here. I have the big boy 1/2 hog ring, it takes off or breaks off everything.

Northerntool and home depot have the best deals around holidays (mine came with sockets, a light, a sawzaw, and (3) 5ah M18 batteries)

I have the small one and the big one, both 1/2" drive. I use the compact 2755B 98% of the time. I bought the 1/2" compact because I don't mind adapting down for 3/8" or 1/4", but its strong enough to shear an adapter if you adapt up to hold that 21mm socket that you only have in 1/2". And it fits almost anywhere. The big one comes out for 1" and up bolts, or where I need extensions/swivels/etc (see below)

I hate the pin detent. It only locks in when you don't want it to. Get the friction ring model 2755B unless you like the pin.

Also, the battery powered ones are more effected by adapters and extensions than air units. I assume this is because the battery units have a shorter stroke length. If i have just a socket on the compact unit, it will amaze you what it can break loose. But once you start adding extensions and swivels, the added mass and slop really impact the performance.

Yeah, I don't see many smoking deals right now. Maybe they'll offer some package deals as we get closer to Fathers' Day.
