I had a buddy ask me what was my favorite tire for four wheeling. I thought I would get some other opinions. For discussion purposes, what is the best tire for off road wheeling here in the southeast? Let's talk about a 35" just to help narrow down some possibilities of competition tires. Also, lets just say this is for an off road vehicle that will be towed to and from the trails and never be driven on pavement.

I've been very happy with my 34" LTB's on my Samurai. Especially after I did some cutting to them. They are probably as big as most 35" tires like a Goodyear or BFG.

Maxxis Creepy Crawlers or Treps in a sticky compound.

I'll just say I don't like any tire on a 35....leaves a full size way too close to the ground

I could be wrong but I believe the only sticky in a 35 is the Maxxis/BFG short course tires.
I think you are right, but that would be a great tire. Regular 35" Creepys are still pretty excellent in a bias ply format.

Bias versions, you are correct. If enough were interested, Goforth claims they can get most of the Intercos in a sticky compound. Not sure where the 34 LTB is made, but that would be sweet in a sticky.

Way back I had skinny 34" LTB Bias.

I thought I was god in a jeep with only an aussie in the front Dana 30 and a short arm lift.

Tough ass sidewalls. I bought them from Chris Irving basically with cuts in the sidewall that had exposed chord. Ran them no problem :uzi:

Bfg blues are a good option, heat them up and they get pretty sticky.

Haven't posted, or wheeled for that matter, in 4+ years so my post may be irrelevant but for some reason I felt the urge to respond to this and place my vote for the old tried and true Swamper TSL Q78-15
