My parents have been finding mouse dookie in their house the last few weeks. They cant catch them and told me they would pay me $5 for every mouse DOA. So far over the last 2 weeks Ive only killed 2. Im using the cheap snapping mouse traps with melted cheese on the trigger. It obviously catches mice, but I feel like I should have caught more than 2 mice in 2 weeks. Is there anything better to use, maybe that has a stronger smell, than cheese?

Penut butter on a marshmellow... works every time! catches coons/skunks too lmao

It also has to be hard to get off of the trigger. I have seen mice clean the peanut butter off the trap without setting it off.

Are you trying to get more mice so you can cash in? o_O
Back in the old days when I worked in a rat lab, we gave 'em Skittles as treats...

You obviously have a fascination with fire/ melting things. No need to melt the bait. I just mash a piece of Kraft Sinlges cheese on the trigger. Its about the only thing that nasty ass cheese is good for. That and keepinv the kids away from your good cheese.

Peanut butter! That's how my wife caught me!

I've always used peanut butter

He said dookie :D

I have used crunchy peanutbutter. Gives them something else to work for other than just licking the peanut butter. They like to go for the chunks, then SNAP! :uzi:

chocolate...seriously.
BTW if they steal your bait tie it on with unscented unwaxed dental floss.

your doing it wrong. get some DE, the freshness packs out of shoes, food, etc. mix it up then roll it in Peter Pan Pb

after they start eating the silicon will dry them out from the inside. All that's left is bone and no maggots.

you guys are missing the point he is selling scalps!!!!!

Have them adopt a cat from the county shelter, and do'nt feed it until it kills a mouse! Or spring the trap very carefully so it is just being held by the trigger, not jammed all the way into the slot. With practice you can set it to go off when you blow hard on it. No mouse can get the peanut butter off a barely hung trigger. Just be carefull placeing it, don't drop it at all, hold it w thumb and finger only on the corners of the base where the snap lays when it's set and gently lay that end down on the floor last.

Peanut butter is your best bet. Put the traps along the borders of the room. Mice like to run along borders so that they can feel their way around due to their poor eyesight
