Best car hauler length?

Personally I now think a 20ft is too short, would much rather have a 24ft. If trailers weren't so damn expensive right now I would come off my trailer.

I've had 18 & 20, and used 14-16. I agree with most above that 20 is a decent size. My next one will like be ~22. I would go 24 too, but at some point I'd just pull my 30ft.

Thanks for all the info….great insights. I think (for now), I’ll extend the ramps and add pins to create ramp angle options. I’ll time the new trailer (18-20’ and 10k) with the new truck. Now if I could just kind my wife a new SUV…darned COVID!!

@Chris_Keziah has the setup I want (if he'd just come off it).

20ft (18ft flat + 2ft dove), 14k lowboy, drop down spring assisted ramps.

But for most, @Crunchy trailer would be great...basically same trailer at Chris but 10k and slide in ramps (I personally loathe slide in ramps fwiw)
For a 1/2 ton truck, the 20’ is perfect. Pulls like a dream. I’d like to go shorter and lighter but doubt it would pull as good. Oh, and I have 1 ramp. The other left the chat. 😬

16' Pulls like a dream....
And if your pulling it with a half ton GET a weight distributing hitch...
Don't listen to all the parrots of the NC crowd....
....I get a 18'
....oh no id get a 20'
....screw that id get 22'
.....It tows bad...... ? really?
:/

Haha

f250 with a 20' tilt bed 10k. I like not having to mess with ramps. the ford don't know its there.
