that is a serious offense.
when i worked at jakes in durham, they had the police account, so we fixed a lot of police cars. one day i went for a test drive and one of the r&r guys decided to follow me in a police car. he lit me up and i knew it was him so i didn't stop, well about 2 miles later a real durham cop lit him as we passed him on a side road. when he pulled over he gave the cop some excuse about the trans acting up whenever they had the strobes on, i had turned around and gotten out of the car i was driving and was going to make up my own excuse and the cop told me it was ok because he had already explained. he said it was the same charge as impersonating an officer.
