What is your opinion on the best aggressive tread "mud tire" in E load range?

TSL bias ply.....

If you want pro mud tires you will need to fork out the money for some "fuller procut" they are the best in the world!!!!!

Is this for muddin', or for a DD that has double duty as a tow vehicle and mud driving?

This is for my tow rig that is not a DD but I want to stop needing four wheel drive every time I pull into a wet field. I also want the truck to be my go to for snow. For reference I currently have BFG ATs on it now, great on road but cake up with mud and snow too easily. Road noise is not a issue as I only tow long distance a few times a year.

I run the Tera Grapplers on my dually as well. Still need 4x4 in wet grass but that's the nature of a dually but phenomenal in snow and impressive in mud

I hear toyos are better than nittos. From many who have had load e mud terrains. Last longer on the road and far less cupping than nittos, I looked and found a set of BFGs rugged terrains and they have lasted 45k and still have a couple thousand miles to go. So I'll be going back to them if I can afford them. Not the best like someone stated earlier but man, for the dependability they have suprised me

Was happy with the Trail Grapplers on my F250 a few years ago. Big fan of that tire. Toyo would be a close second.

If AT's get considered, I have been pleased with the 235/85/16 BFG AT (original style) that are on my dually now. I'll probably end up getting about 40k+ out of them. Can't complain for a truck that gets daily driven.

Are we talking about the same Terra Grapplers? I found them nearly worthless in any form of wet, non-paved terrain. I did only have them from 50% tread and down, but was quite surprised at how often I had to use 4wd compared to other all terrains I've used at similar tread depth.

I hear toyos are better than nittos.

they are the same company and use the same exact rubber compound.
Now if the tread design is different maybe one performs better but same thing

I've been really happy with the Terra Grapplers in snow and ice. Mud....? Meh. But the only time it's ever in the mud, it's hooked to a huge ass trailer. So YMMV.

The BFG ATs on the TJ have been pretty good in mud. Haven't had them in snow and ice, and likely never will because of the f/r lockers on that vehicle.

I've had the Toyo MT's and have been pleased with them. Good mileage and work good in mud. We are currently swapping from Toyo's to BFG's at the shop and I plan to put the new KO2's on my Ram here soon. Looking forward to a quiet ride again.

Not for nothing I also had the Procomp Extreme MT's on my old Ram and was really happy with them I felt they rode a little better than the toyo's and worked just as good in the mud. I got them when 4WP used to do the buy 3 get one free deal so they were worth a shot and I really liked them. I didn't have the truck long enough to wear them out but I think they come with a tread life warranty now which is rare for a MT.

My definition for mud for my tow rig is wet sloppy fields. I'm not taking it to the mud drags or anything.

Nitto Trailgrappler, metric sizes are load range E, they last a long time.
I can second this! Mine have about 65k on them and still have life and thats been on my heavy excurison with a trailer behind it, all after a trip to moab on jasons jeep!

Mastercraft courser mxt. I'm running d range 37s on a 2nd gen cummins and a friend running smaller e range on his 3rd gen. Haven't run through a set, but so far, so good.

Ran toyo mts 2857518 on the ram 2500. Could not ask for a better tire. Quiet tire with good tread wear.

I would suggest Cooper STTs, but apparently they've quit making them in favor for the STT Pro. I can't comment on those, but the older STT was surprisingly quite and they've lasted me quite a while. FWIW, Cooper makes Mastercraft tires too. I like Toyo MTs, but DAMN they're expensive!

Mastercraft Courser MXT, i have 10,000 on a set right now, they are quiet and seem to be giving great service on my duramax, 305-70-16 load range E, I paid $900 for a set mounted balanced and out the door
