best u-joint tool

I use OTC, I felt like the big snap on press was to bulky and heavy. I did have a tiger tool but it went missing.

Opportunity knocks!
Would one of you experienced u-joint replacing guys like to do a tech article? Better yet, how about doing a video of the actual process!

Too late! We did the joints in Tater's rear driveshaft (casualty of the Relic Ride back in OCT :shaking: ) 2 weekends ago, so unless the Moss happens to shuck one sitting in the garage on flats, I'm out!

Spicer joints are easier to remove than the toyota joints. The cross is too small on the toy joint or there is more material on the yoke so it wont allow you to press out the cap all the way. I usually take nuts or washers and fill the gap between the end of the joint and the cap so I can press it all the way out. After dealing with the toy cv shaft, I'll pay someone to deal with it.
