Best used 3/4 ton 4x4 Gasser opinion

This is by far the best look in a 3/4 truck. Just be ready for all the ladies to fall all over you and I hope you don't mind everyone in public coming up to you to talk about your truck. Oh and no jeeps allowed.

Wow! Never seen one sit that bad. If I saw that out in public I would just have to ask the person why.

I also have a tundra and really like it, 2011 crew max. I've had 99 and 03 Cummins, 03 and 07 nbs duramax. The tundra isn't equal to them but it doesn't miss by much. The milage is crap though. Mine is on 35s, pulling enclosed trailer to Florida and back empty or full 7.5mpg. 13.5 normal. But I still like it.

Don't leave out the 6.2 Fords if you're in the 3/4ton gas market. A buddy just got one and is liking it a lot so far. Worth a look IMO.
I wouldn't pass up the 08-11 V10 trucks as well. I love those body style trucks but don't want to mess with the 6.4 or all the emission bs to go with it. The older Super Duty V10 wouldn't be bad either.

I have a customer with 99 F250 V10. He said he bought it with 16k miles, now has 240+ and still going. Spent most of its life pulling a skid-steer and small excavator, never done anything but regular maintenance and replace the common stuff like starter, belts, alternator ect. Still original transmission, said he changes fluid in tranny every 20k

99+ V10 4x4 350's and 450's is all my girlfiend's dad has on his farm. Ex Pike electric service trucks so they have some mileage on them. The 05+ models have noticlbly more ass but they are all solid trucks. I have been tempted to have him find me a 350 single wheel truck with a service bed and sell my Dodge while the diesel market is absurd.

I like the fords but the one i have now makes me leery of another one. It's a 2005 F150 FX4 with 92000 miles that i bought new and have taken very good care of and maintained as you should. I've had tons of small issues over the years and last fall dropped a transmission at 87000. Now it has a knock that sounds like an exhaust leak so I changed both manifolds due to cracks but no change. Took it to the ford place and they can't find it either and they say it might be the cam phasers and it will cost $3k to fix. If that is not it a new crate motor.

Not a bad or difficult job at all buddy.

What's he deal with the Chevy 1500HD? I see them and they have 8lug wheels, look bout like a 2500. Anyone know about them?

They are kind of like 5/8 ton trucks. I believe they have semi float 14 bolt ( or aam version) rear axles, they've got a spring rate stiffer than a 1/2 ton, not sure if they're full 3/4 ton springs or not though. It'd be a decent tow rig if you don't need a full 3/4 ton gvwr truck.

The brakes are bigger than the 1/2 ton trucks too.

Pretty much a light duty 3/4 ton. So it's a semi float rear, 6.0, and a lower gvwr than the 2500s.

1500HDs are kind of a bastard truck. Lots of mixing between a 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton. There was also a regular 2500 and then the 2500HD. Personally, I think they made too many different trucks!

If you notice, a 1500 Mega Cab Dodge is also 8 lug. Of course, that's a heavy rig to drop on top of some half ton suspension, so I guess it makes sense.

The 1500 mega cab is on a 2500 chassis and suspension. I believe they de-rate them vs a 2500 though.
