Those tires look nasty!

Not gonna make Potts this weekend but hope to meet up with you at Big Creek or URE sometime soon

Took the top off today and took my oldest daughter for a short ride, her smile could not have been bigger! I also introduced my youngest and my buddy's daughter to a jeep.

ECGS @Cperry came through again. D30 and 8.8 Aussie lockers and a SOLID diff cover. Also got some u joints for the front and a new passenger side axle seal.

So are there any TJ specific fixes I should consider before I take her on the trails for the first time? For my ZJ, things like a steering box brace, hammering pinch seams in the inner fenders, etc. were all little tricks to do before the first time out.

better learn to aim that thing.it's not point and shoot anymore. Gotta use that tatter to not get hung up or torn up. I try to plan my moves atleast 3 in advance.

It's a TJ. If you look up point and shoot in the dictionary, there's a picture of a stock 98 there.

it's them damn pesky ole lower control arm mounts on the axles that'll grab him by the booboo if he ain't sharp. Then again he IS riding a Tj on 33s tho.

I still haven't been cleared by the doctor to use my left arm, so not a bad project today for a 1.5 armed man haha. 8.5k rugged ridge winch, used but in like new condition, it looks like it has never even been unspooled.

After a year and a half off the trail, finally got back at it today! Had a great time @JC!

The TJ did better than I expected, and had no problems. My trailer on the other hand had a little trouble when one of the tires picked up a slice of metal and I had to change a trailer tire on the side of the road with the jeep still on it.

Not many different pictures because we mainly rode, and didn't stop for many photo ops haha.

Thanks JC, but I had a great spotter too! It was so awesome to get back on the trail, thanks for letting me tag along.

how you like the stability of the lower setting rig?

Love it, the lower stance along with a rear sway bar meant I never once felt tippy. It also towed much better, the suspension on the ZJ would let the body "rock and roll" on the trailer, the TJ kept still.

Here is what cut my trailer tire, is this plugable or patchable?

It is a razor blade and you can see the slice to the right that made it all the way through.

Cool, I am gonna run by a tire shop today.

Went to Big Creek yesterday. We cut a loop at the end of Sluice trail and I got to be the first person to drive it, it is fun section with a lot of off camber moments.

Had some minor damage to the passenger front fender when a tree jumped out in front of me and decided to wedge itself between the bumper and fender. Also smashed the oil pan when I came off a rock a little too hard. It was a beautiful day and we got to mix some work and fun together.

Hung up on the rock that smashed the oil pan

Time for a stubby bumper and some flat fenders. And maybe an oil pan skid lol

Haha, stubby bumper and flat fenders are on the list, skid is already done. I need to add some pictures, but did a tummy tuck with a 1.25" BL and Savvy skids; the belly is now flat and skid plated from the engine to the rear drive shaft.

Finally took a few pictures of the new skid plate. Looks like about 2" gain in ground clearance.
