I tried like hell to get a pic yesterday...

Older Acura TL sedan, faded paint, with 20" chrome wheels and some Walmart DIY window tent on the bottom 2/3 of the windows driving around Greenville. The owner even had a "Built not Bought" sticker on each side rear windows.

Sounds like the fuck-nut was was telling the truth...that he built it himself or you guys have some really shitty customizing shops down there in Greenville.

I'm not sure much of anything was built other than some shitty window tint. Lol

I wish I had that sticker on the buggy. I had it on the trailer at the time. Would have been fun to point that out.

(To be fair, Chris built it and I bought it, so I guess I bought mine??? Lol)

I used to keep a couple copies of this in my glovebox

Ok, so a few weeks ago I'm driving down Hwy 264 outside Zebulon, 4dr JK is passing me, not unusual, I can only travel @ 65mph ( monitored and enforced ) as JK is passing me, I notice roof line, it's got a hard top BUT it's stepped, and the rear glass wraps over the top. "Damn, that looks like a Disco roof" I said to myself, as it blew on by, rear door top says "JeepRover" in stick on letters. IT was quick and I wasn't sure of what I saw until I saw the lettering. they blew past me and I had no way to catch up. couldn't see enough detail to tell how hack of a job it was, but @ 65vs70+ mph, it didn't look terrible...

Anyone else seen this thing running around ?

maybe I was hallucinating ( doubtful, my med's aren't that strong )

I saw a similar top on a JK at the last Overland thing here in Asheville. I did a double take to see exactly what it was. Not sure if it had the "JeepRover" lettering or not...

OT I had a van ride behind me for about 10 miles on a 2 lane road tonight with their brights on the entire time. How do you not notice the intense glare off of the back of the vehicle in front of you!?!?!

me probably being "one of those vans" I've noticed when loaded ( which I usually am grossing about 8400 ) low beams are aimed higher because the tail squats, high beams are useless. I don't ride at night very often, so it's never been a concern. I noticed my beams are higher, others may not when they are loaded.

Are you sure it was the high beams or did he have a load in the back? I get flashed ALL THE TIME when I am towing or have a load in the bed of my Silverado.

How about all the DOUCHE trucks that squat out back and blind everyone with their low beams and fogs because the front of the trucks are all tilted up? That is terrible. Same goes for leveled trucks that have not had their headlights readjusted (which is just about all of them). Again, terrible and ignorant.

This was a grocery getter minivan, and I could clearly see the high beams and low beams on.

I think they're calling those "safari cabs" BTW.
