been working on the new ride for a few months: (since the rock race at DPG)

so i moved on... in my free time at work i started laying it out in CAD:

this has varied some with the real thing, but its close.
 
I figured you worked it up in cad or solidworks. I was pretty sure you had experience with that stuff at work, thats why I was asking. I've been trying to mock up what Jim plans to build in solidworks while I wait for the TJ to sell.
 
i got that far and wasn't sure how high the motor was going to sit, so the front end was "trial and error" with no big errors yet :lol:

as for the tires.. thats a hush-hush thing for now...

I don't use none them new fangeled computors for firguring up chassises. I just has me a vision.
 
I know...I'm trying to convert your vision into something I can see :huggy:
course I've come to realize it harder to fawkin draw it than it is to bend it...and so far I'm only guessing at measurements just to model something while I learn the program.:shaking:

Nothing I've drawn on a napkin every came to life the way I planned anyways.

finished the day with some gussets, and sitting in it making motor noises:lol: next up is the floorboard/firewall and more small stuff...
 
Looking good Brandon. I wish some of my crap would come in. You going to Harlan? I think i will take macs heep out again. :huggy:
