I am not going to be able to work on mine this weekend so you will take the lead. Sucks only being able to work certain weekends, and the shop is 2 hours away. Those floorboards are NICE. I am liking the skins too. Something different for sure.

stock...at least that's what I'm running, Patrick is running and Stump is running. Patrick and I both had tricked up pumps that sucked (mine was a PSC, his a POS). Try the stock one if that doesn't work, then check into the custom junk. Donkeystompit on here runs an LT1 with full hydro, I may be wrong but I think he runs the stock pump too.

well it's painted, NEVER AGAIN will I do that... NEVER!!!

the motor's out of the donor, NEVER AGAIN will I pull a motor from a F-body car while on the trailer/by myself/in the heat... NEVER!!!

Uh...well I understand the engine pull...rouch getting a hoist in, laying on hot metal, car that sits almost to the ground.

But what's up with the paint?

i had about $100 in materials, time was free(not really) i strongly recommend powercoating, or atleast have someone else paint it... so you don't have to deal with the prep/clean/overspray on EVERYTHING FOREVER...

Sorry to hear that. I kinda assumed Shane had a booth at the stealership you guys used for his? Guess that's not where you did yours? I planned to powder coat....no you've removed all doubt.

that was the plan.. but Mrs. Shane said that he was restricted to honey-do's for the weekend instead. So, I re-painted the inside of the garage and managed to get "some" paint on the chassis.

Got it. Man, I can image have a tough time getting 360 degrees of tube painted withought most of the spray pattern behing overspray... Dude, if you got it done at all...you are the man.

pics?? Sounds like you are well on the way brandon!

goldmember?

:flipoff2: close, its rustoleum's hammered copper, I didn't want the typical black or silver chassis... (i wanted gold, but couldn't find it in the quart jars @ slowe's)

As for skins, I'm still not sure, been thinking of satin black, but then again, there's alot of those too... just have to wait and see.

*chassis took 2-1/2 quarts of primer, 2 quarts of copper (plus a spray can for touching up lite areas)
