Anyone know of a motorcycle inspection station in Burke county or Charlotte that doesn't suck. It's hard enough finding a motorcycle inspection station that's open in the first place, even harder finding one that's not a pita.

Call around to some quick lubes, I got mine inspected here in kernersville at a halvoline quick lube, IIRC.

Pappajon on here inspecta em all the time.... Xtreme wash and lube off poplar tent rd....coming from charlotte get off on poplar, take a right go thru the light and its on ur left next to a shell station.....

Why would an inspection place suck? If your bike is safe and legal there should be no issue with any inspection station.

It's getting worse. More and more of the "good ole boy's" are getting "popped" for doing favors.

In my 30 years of riding motorcycles I NEVER got one inspected until I HAD too in 2009 because of the refusal to renew my tag :shaking:

But there's some back-woods shell stations up here that do cars AND motorcycles. Just keep trying those gas stations you see with the inspections. Maybe ONE of those will have someone who knows their ass from a hole in the ground.

Just remember, it's either all or nothing as far as turn signals. They ALL have to work if you still have them, or pull them all off. And at least ONE rear view mirror. Other than that, tread on tires need to be good, brakes work and headlights...and you SHOULD be good.

I take my bike to a local independent guy, Hartsell's in Locust. He's right off 24/27. If you're headed out towards Albemarle, from 601, on 24/27, his shop is on the right, before you get to the new Walmart. The guy's name is Steve and the shop number is 704-888-3905.
