Black Mountain Off-Road Adventure Area (Harlan, Ky) Fee Syst

A while ago there were talks about a lifetime pass, and a discounted lifetime pass, if purchased in the beginning stages of having the fees enacted. Being that I am 22, I would buy a lifetime pass at the drop of a hat, if the price were reasonable.

The main reason I ask, is so that I can't pay at one time, and ride whenever without having to worry about buying a new permit every year. It would just be easier, and I would rather cough up a lump some all at once, versus paying the yearly fee every year for the next 25 ( hopefully more) years. I also have taken in consideration that there may be years where I am not able to ride, but I would like to still support.

Just wondering if there are still any talks on the table of a lifetime/25 year ( based on the lease) permit?

Thanks for everything you guys do, and for keeping a great east coast spot open admist many closures in the southeast.

Here is their official website with details.

Copy and paste from site below.

Yearly Permits (One Per Vehicle)One permit: $35
(Family Discount): Second permit = $30
(Family Discount): Each additional permit = $25 31-Day Permits (One Per Vehicle)Each permit: $20

Multi-Vehicle Permits(Register as many vehicles as you want on one permit. Affix the decal to a placard and ride a different vehicle each visit on the same permit.)
Yearly Permit: $40
31-Day Permit: $25

that ain't bad at all.A trip that far for me would mean a multi day stay with probably 3 or more days trail time so it's good. Now just to figure when to go.Won't be this year with 2 trips to Gettysburg and one to Chickamagua in NE Georgia.

I have a question that may be a little simple, but it confuses me. What is the family discount? It says it's per vehicle but that family discount makes me wonder. Only reason I'm asking is we have a family of 5 but travel in the same vehicle.

I think it's for one family with multiple vehicles being used simulataneously. I go with my dad in his rig and my brother in another rig.

Then they have the multivehicle discount, where you get one pass, but you can use it on multiple vehicles. That wouldn't work if you were going at the same time though.

No matter how you cut it, it's a good deal.

guys we have not got our site updated. We cant find somebody to run our website for us.

All passes went up 5 bucks. also reason we do not have a day pass is because we operate under a krs law that lets us charge the way we do.

Awesome price and awesome place to wheel. Heading there in a month for our annual Easter weekend run.

dont forget that we also have an awesome zip line. so try and plan that in with your visit.
also me and ken have been scouting some new trails out. we will have something new this year.
