well, not a lot of progress in the last few months. But I’ll update with what I’ve done....
-I have the axles located and squared to a central point of the chassis and squared to each other. (This took a little longer than I expected)
-I used some 1” tubing to secure them to the frame at what should be ride height.
-I wanted 8” of up travel in the rear and I have plenty of room for that.
-I wanted 7” of up travel in the front but I can only get 5 to 5.5” due to the lower control arms hitting frame. ( I could have done better building the frame to prevent that, but oh well. It’s a learning experience)
-I got a total triangulation of 52* in the rear
-I only got 43* of triangulation in the front, but i think that’ll be ok....maybe...
-here are some of the measurements:
-117” wheel base
-belly height is 20”
-lower links are 38” front and rear
-upper links are 39” rear and 35.5 front.
- the upper links are adjustable at the frame to help dial in anit squat and anti dive
I’m pretty happy with how it’s turning out. The suspension should perform pretty well.
(One of these days I might find out!)
