brown mtn this sat

i used to ride 4 wheelers in both places, i liked to see the trucks. but i guess its because i had a bronco. i wish brown would open up a big truck trail.
seen the link to the pics. i like the camo yota. pretty cool looking.

Is Brown Mountain too small for a 91 F150?

I printed off the link with information and directions...Is trail 1 and 8 the only trails for vehicles? And just how much can I do there if I can take my truck out...

I have a piddly little 1986 Honda Fourtrax 125 I guess I could take in the back of the truck...

There are wide, tough as hell trails there. You just cant get to them anymore.

I went this past Monday, and had a ball, its very much worth the drive to Brown Mt.

I see your vehicle is modified...Would I have fun in my stock F150?

Yeah you would have a good time. There is nothing on the vehicle allowed trails that should give you any difficulty.

Brown Mtn destroyed the body panels(what ws left of them anyway) we got off on the wrong trail and rode it all the way out...incase you we wondering what trail we ran..backwards...in the dark...it was trail 1...the first trail to the left as you start into the trails...it is rated as "most difficult" ATV's and Dirtbikes only....damnit

I went there Friday and had a great time. I tried to get the jeep stuck but no luck. I stuck to trails 1,7, 8, and 4.

I got mine wedged...BETWEEN 2 TREES...ROUGHLY 13X's I live 'bout 20 min from there.

well if i ever hear back from this guy about buying his MT tires, I'll be set.

my 31"s are so slick now i was spinning in my back yard this past weekend while moving to haul mulch in 4x4 mode...I had to go to 4 low

Andrew I PMed you about some tires.

Damn, you ran trail 1a backwards at night? What were you driving? I want to see pics of the truck after that. That trail is tight, and you must have made 15 point turns at some spots. Did you run in to much traffic?

I am definitely in for some of this Brown Mountain action when I get my Samurai modified.

I was there and present in my 82 toyota. Yes we ran trail 1a backward at night. We got back to the parking lot at 11 that night. It was tight, very slow moving but we made it through.
Unbreakable was driving a 91 4runner, welded front, no power steering, no head lights and 35x15.50s on either 10 or 12 inch rims. He had a rough night to say the least. His truck was wider than a lot of spots, but he managed to muscle it through. He almost rolled countless times from having to drive up on the banks.
Me in the 82 and 1stgenxxx in an 85 runner made it thru with lots of dents and scratches, but really not a lot of trouble.
I can't really recommend that trail to anyone that cares about body damage, and without a doubt nothing bigger than a Toyota pickup.
That night, we did not meet another person. The trails were empty.
Here's some pics

And my damage, both sides of the truck just wrinkled and scratched.

This one almost got the windshield on all three trucks.

I was present also on this trip ridin shotgun with 1stgenxxx and i have to say the terrain on trail 1 was very tight.

Yeah, we had been in the woods so long, that Ed (roverboy) started hallucinating, seeing houses in the woods and hearing a TV, right Ed:flipoff2:

..stop it, your making me want a first gen toyota pickup....

nice pics!

There are definately some fun and narrow trails, but if you're going to take a 4x4 to brown...no matter what trail you're taking...do it in the evening or on a weekday.
