CAGE IN TJ W/ HARNESS SEATS

What exactly does this mean?... NOT attached to the frame?
Also, any pics of where the front seat bar is run? Looks like it either goes under/trough the console or just "dead ends" against the hump?

Dave,

The floor bars are bent at 2 45* angles to attach to the tube just under/inside the door and to the tube behind the seats. This was done to keep from hacking up the center console. I wanted to run tube all the way across, but John didn't want to do anything to the center console, so I made the seats attach this way instead. I think John will post some more pics soon to show what I did.

We also wanted to put in some sort of lateral support on the main hoop, but with those seats and John being like 8' tall, it just wasn't possible and have it effective and still look good.

I think its fawking awesome craftsmanship. And not at all your fault he chose to not yet tie into the frame. Probably wants to remove those 3" body pucks first :shaking:

Kickass Rob.

yes, we are removing the 3" body lift. We just haven't had time to remove yet. Once it is removed, then I will suggest connecting it into the frame.

Yeah, that is exactly right. I need to first remove teh body lift but before that get a SYE and belly up and make sure all three inches can come off. Then like Rob said. The cage will be tied in but not welded as some were suggesting. Thanks for all the hard work Rob.

Rob did an Great Job of designing it to my needs and specs. Working around my height and mass were a PITA for the seats but I fit nice and snug with enough head and leg room. Something that was lacking in the stock setup. My son loves his new seat and sits higher than before so he can see out of the front windsheid which he loves. The cage is awesome and I will get new pictures sometime soon.

Sorry Guys, I have been super D dupper busy. I will get some pictures tonight and post. My camera has been giving me problems. The batteries have been running out in a few days. Sorry

Ok the only thing is right now it is rattle canned with black in two weeks it is getting professionally painted with High Gloss Red to match the harness. I kind of wanted to wait until then to shop pictures. Do you still want them Rob? It will look a lot better in the second picture. Thanks John

I was just interested to see the finished pictures.

If it is being taken out, let me know about the bottom of the tubes...

Hey, Not a problem. The place that is painting it has a welder there. Would be easier than taking it all the way to you after it is pulled. I will post some pictures as soon as it is done. I think I am going to paint my whole jeep too so I need to get my Crusher Corners on too.
