your right it was "STUPID" to think we could roll out there alone and run Armour All all the way up then turn around and run it down

wow big azz what a way to end the weekend.
glad you guys got out ok (lots of work huh).
great to have met you guys.
oh and nice winch work on the new line at tow.
whats gonna be the name for that line?
other than a blown hub not too bad of a weekend.

Well me an BIGAZZBURBAN finally got down off the mountain at
8pm...thanks F'er's ...:flipoff2:
Went up for one last quick ride up ArmorAll...no problems...then decided to turn around and run it backwards
Made it maybe 20' and know we broke at least drivers side axle on both ends, posibly broke locker or r & p ... or maybe pass side axle...then the jeep died and would not crank back,
found some blown fuses and replaced, still no fire or fuel pump.
Began raining, then pouring...
started winching out of the creek, up the hill and found the unit bearing separating....fixed that to hold the wheel on
also broken brake caliper mount and frayed winch cable...
Had some ATV's run back to campground only to see RedneckCJ5's taillights in the distance...thanks Pal...I'll remember that...:flipoff2:
Anyhow...got a ride back to camp with ATVer's...damn ghosttown I tell ya...everyone had bagged asss.....brought a
fresh Interstate battery back up...killed that Bitch within 30
feet winchin...Pansy ass ATVer's bagged ass too....so we hiked down the mountain for Help...not a Sole there with a 4x4
...Thanks Fella's...:flipoff2: went to town, bought a new Optima Yellowtop at the GhettoZone...met some yocals with a Toyota hangin out in the lot...apparently the highlight in Mountain City...well they were sampling some homegrown herb
with the adjacent vehicle...anyhow, talked enuf shit to em to get them to come help us off the mountain
Hauled boogy back up the mountain, got the winch back in action and finally towed that Bitch outta there...
So we got another hour to ride here and then off to work by 8am in the RTP (another hour ride to work)
Had a blast ridin' with you Fawker's...:flipoff2: Look forward to the next trip...!!!

That was John that posted all that above using my laptop on the way home. He just used my account instead of logging in on his account. Nobody's mad... mostly just giving redneckcj5guy (Paul) crap. HAHA

I'd also like to send out a special thanks to the guys in the buggy who past us broken down on the tail and asked us where they could get propane.:flipoff2: And the Crabby guy in the Green bronco who parked in the middle of the trail and acted like it was killing him to move the hell out of the way.
The guy w/ the green Bronco was w/ us and I'll just say in his defense, since he doesn't visit this site much, he had already had a very bad weekend and to be honest it was my fault for his being in the trail while I was on Pull Cable. It is an unfortunate thing that there is not more room there to get out of other peoples way. I can't speak to the second time someone had to ask him to move but I am quite sure it was not intentional since he was w/ my group wherever he went.

Now I would like to address the guys in the buggy looking for propane. One of the rigs in our group ran out of propane and headed back to camp. It could have been them, I don't know for sure, but if it was they would only been able to offer opinions and elbow grease. They had no, or almost no, tools or spares on the rig. I would like to think everyone in our club would always stop and help someone out but if it was our guys, I will apologize since they were w/ our club and should have stopped.

I would like to thank the guy in the Dodge, sorry forgot your name, that gave me the "Why didn't I think of that idea" to get my friends Jeep back to camp. We were able to get her back and fixed up, thanks.

Yeah that was me and WG. all the zip ties on that toyota distracted my brain! I have no idea about propane, so I would have been absolutely zero help

Thanks for Man'ing up in his defense. It's just trail etiquette that you pull to the side when you are stopped...he made it seem like it was such a chore and got really irritated that we would even dare to ask him to pull just 2 feet to the left.

When you were on pull cable he and his wife were sitting behind his truck eating...I even waited 'til he had finished eating to ask him to slide over just a lil bit :) oh well...maybe he will next time...

All in all....great weekend

I hope I had the 2 Willys's pulled over far enough to get folks by.Please don't let the actions of a couple of OUR folks take off how the rest of us are.Rox-mud pretty much summed it up for us.

Yea...the 2 willys were fine..they had pulled to the side. The bronco guy was the problem. I was the one who asked him to pull up...and he acted like it was going to kill him. That was the 2nd time that day that I had to ask him to move his vehicle from the center of the trail. The 2nd time he was being a douche bag about moving it. In all actuality all he would have had to do was back up about 25 feet and to the left...let us pass then pull right back up. It was really that simple. But it's all good now...weekend is over, maybe next time he will pull to the side.

EDIT: that one flat green one was resto'd really nice..I had passed y'all earlier and joked with him that I thought it was time for cage

Our lil' groups destruction for the weekend included(but not limited too)
1 hub(Dawgtoy)
1 electrical short in lights, also at 12:30 am on armorall(cumminsdzl)
2 rear center pins(me)
1 really bent rear spring pack(me)
1 38" bogger(me)
1 driveshaft (me)
2 digital Cyberdyne guages(me) my second set
I also pulled 1/2 the studs through the rear axles 3rd
1 Swampy.

Oh and BIGAZZBURBAN wouldn't listen to me and ended up ripping his front Lower control arm mount off the unibody.

I talked to Robert a little while ago. He didnt break a hub, it was a Longfield birf and inner axle and the front ring gear. Another tough weekend for Robert.

yea, that one be mine. Nellie Belle be her name. The 2 Willys in our group were the only 2 rigs that didn't have any mechanical problems. My onboard welder got a work out repairing the 2 broken motor mounts on the sammi-buggy friday on welder at the water fall.I drove a total of 12 hours to wheel one hour on friday and 5 hours on saturday because of rig breakage. I hope my next wheeling trip goes a little more smoothly.

Yea that was me...the douche in the Bronco as you say.

Not sure who you were, or at this point, actually care. Whoever was in the lead in the group was whom I spoke with. As I stated to that person there was no furthur room for me to pull to the left. Unless your desire was me to step out of my bronco, and end up in a 30 ft ravine. I also asked if there was somewhere furthur up the trail that I could pull over so you all could get by as I had never been there before. I got no response other than a stupid look. Backing up was not an option as there was a cherokee on that side that you all just passed.

My wife walked up the trail and found another road. We pulled up into that so you all could get by. That makes me a douche?? Tell you what.....please introduce yourself to me in person the next time you see me on the trail and call me that to my face. 'Till then:flipoff2:
