Carolina Truggies: Linked YJ on ton's, 42's, etc

These are the link brackets for the front lowers, rear lowers, and rear uppers. These will go along both frame rails, just the first mock up of this set up. Our goal is to have this later offered as a kit.

This truss was a lot of fun to make, the compound bends make it interesting and time consuming. The driver side rear swooping platform will double as the bump pad. The truss overall is something original that looks good while still adding strength and functionality.

Beautiful work. I really like that link bracket.... may have to be a future purchase. Where are you mounting the front uppers? Or will it be a radius arm?

Alex- The truss is a work of art for sure, by why didn't you tie it into the housing or run it C to C?

You're welds are absolutely incredible btw. That's all TIG'ed?

336 - The front will be a 3 link. The reason its not in the brackets is this Jeep is getting a Atlas, with it clocked flat I'm worried that the driveshaft is going to hit the upper link mount where I have planned for it to be. On top of that the clutch slave cylinder for the 4500 may get in the way as well. As I said before my plan is to have this as a fully engineered suspension kit, it will be complete with everything needed to link a YJ front and rear with coilovers setup for the buyers needs. I have a YJ coming in at the end of the year and after we complete this one I'm going to duplicate everything to put it in kit form, I'll test it on the other mostly stock YJ and if everything works the way I want it to it'll be a kit a complete kit for sale. Just a FYI as well, we plan on building these kits for several other vehicles including TJs and Tacomas, all we be fully engineered and 100% ready to to run coilovers front and rear!

Sik - I need to change some things around on these brackets, they aren't up to par yet. As far as price goes I'm not sure yet. PM me or call me at the shop and I'll make sure you have the first one.

Whit - Thanks for the compliments! Bart isn't going to beat on this thing too hard so i didn't feel it necessary to brace it to that extent. Those are all MIG welds, I ran out of wire in the middle of one of them and i wasn't very happy about it. I didn't want to make a career out of welding it so mig'ing it was the preferred method in this senerio.

Nice work Alex! The new shop looks great also.

nice work.

Nice work Alex. I dig the curved mounts.

If you guys think of anything like that that would be cool to incorporate into the build let me know. I'm always open to new ideas.
Alex

here's a new idea i've always wanted to see but no one has been able to make it happen (and i sure as hell dont have the skills to either)....a FRONT ford sterling 10.25 axle. ive seen a front 14 bolt thanks to xtreme 4x4 tv show....but never a sterling. doubt i will but i'ma keep the hope alive...haha.

UPDATE:

Waiting on a T-case...Advanced Adapters has been a little behind, should ship this Wednesday then we'll get rolling on the rest of the suspension

After several hold ups on the Atlas due to heat treating we finally received the case today. We'll have updates early next week after we finish up the auto fair.

moving forward...

rear truss to match the curves of the front axle...

welds looks awesome. 'nuff said!

Thanks!
Next I gotta put some holes in the high steer arms, make a drag link so I can finish the tracbar and the front will be complete. The front is linked, next will be the rear and sending the steering off for hydro assist.

You do great work Alex. I can't wait till I can bring mine to the shop to have the front linked.

Damn nice welds! Great looking rig. I want a set of those link brackets.
