CB500 Bar Hopper

Dang man! I hope everything gets here in time. can't wait to see it at the Smoke Out. I'm heading down Friday morning. Should get there around lunch time. We're camping in the campgrounds for the weekend. I'm trying to get all the finishing touches done on mine before next weekend. Mine will be in the show for everybody to check out. Should be a fun weekend.
 
I haven't been working on shit lately.......So progress has been slow.

The motor spins over but I I don't think I'm getting any fire.

It's getting a cafe seat pan...new firestones..
The red tank is just for mock up. The good tank is at the body shop right now. It's getting knee dents, black paint, and a blue checker stripe

Got a question for ya, are there any good forums specifically on the cb750's, 550's, ect. I picked up a project today and Im looking for a good spot to research. Ive never built one before so it will be an experiance. I got 2 motors (both are supposed to run), an amen savior frame in good shape, and everything to build it (minus some small misc. stuff) for $500. Also got some extras like a grenade sissy bar, ape hangers, coffin tank. Hoping it will be a cool project.

update

I've been super busy lately but I got a little done tonight. I found some small missing parts, removed the stock headlight mounts started on the seat mounts...also mounted a small head light that I snaged from a scrap bike.

I've got a few more things to do before I drop it off to have the seat pan molded to the tank and everything painted. The carb is currently being rebuilt.
Damn I don't wanna buy another new set of tires
 
I rolled the bike outside today so I could take a decent picture. I should have the seat back on Friday.

The seat pan will be painted the same as the tank..will also have a small pad on it.
 
This sucker is getting close. Maybe I will have it running by spring.

I'm going to put keystones on mine and I haven't decided on what bars to put on hers. I'm still waiting on the kick start parts and side cover to I can seal the engine back up. If she doesn't like the stance, then I'll put some taller bars on it.

Thanks dog, Ill be at the event. I prob wont have the new ride together yet but I can bring the beer ( maybe a keg) if Jimmy needs to step his game up. Ill take the bike for sure. You never know what I could use off of it. What year (ballpark) is it?
